(The Aido twins through a birthday house party for themselves yay 🙌 ((nothing goes wrong I promise)))

The house was decorated with colorful bright lights and streamers. He'd been there thousands of times before, but Arlo had never seen it decorated like this.

He could hear the muffled commotion of chatting and laughter, some music blaring in the background and vibrant rays of light escaping through the windows. The sun had well set and it was just about eight. He figured some friends had arrived before him.

He looked down at his feet and the gift bags he was holding onto. He was suddenly feeling very ridiculous in the outfit he'd chosen, but it was too late to go home and change now. Arlo had decided on his favorite zip-up hoodie and the merlot red, long-sleeve shirt, but it was a bit tight. The dark grey pants weren't the best fit either and he wondered if they'd been washed properly, because there were small creases all over the fabric. He didn't think too much of it at first, but now that he'd noticed, it was bugging him.

He shook his head to himself, pulling himself together and walking up the front steps. He was going to try not to think too much tonight, and have a good time for his friends.

He rung the doorbell, his heart racing and starting to feel very hot even though it was practically freezing outside.

The door opened, revealing a very happy and cheerful Hira, despite wearing a party hat that Arlo knew he couldn't be all that jazzed about wearing.

"Arlo!" he squealed, pulling him inside. "I'm so happy you made it!"

He smiled up at him. "Of course I did." Hira closed the door behind them and led him through the chaos of a party by the hand. "There's a lot of people here," he looked around, recognizing some but not all of the faces amongst them.

"River thought it was a good idea to invite hers and Alex's friends' friends," Hira shrugged. "I don't know, but we have booze," he smiled, and Arlo took a look at the display of bottles and cans sprawled on the kitchen counter along with some snacks. Hira handed him a plastic cup. "We have beer, beer, and beer. Take your pick." he chuckled.

Arlo grinned and grabbed a random open bottle, and Hira placed a can of soda on the counter. "What a fine choice, good sir." he poured the contents into the cup, then reached for the can and opened it, taking a sip before mixing it with his concoction.

Arlo softly chuckled, surveying the crowd. "Where's River? I have gifts for both of you." he held up the two bags in one hand, and Hira took them from him. "Probably dancing with her friends or something. Forest is supposed to be here soon with "expensive shit" as she likes to call it," he made air quotes while heading for the hallway. "I'll put these upstairs and I'll be right back."

He nodded, taking a sip and grimacing. "You are so good at mixing," he muttered, watching as Hira walked away, then turning his attention to the room.

He stood there for a few minutes, sipping on the awful concoction Hira made while watching the crowd of people dancing and talking, having a good time. He wasn't a big fan of huge social settings and dancing with others. He didn't mind a few friends, but a room full of them was a little too much.

Someone gave him a light tap on the shoulder, and he turned around to meet Forest. They were holding a few bags that were decorated neatly with ribbon and glitter.

"Hi," they leaned closer, trying to talk over the chatter and music. "enjoying the party?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I guess so," he laughed, looking down at the contents in his cup, "I don't where River is─"
