Later that day, Ashleigh was sitting in the chair beside the judge, staring down at her fingers...

Ashleigh looked up, staring around the courtroom, then her eyes landed on Jeffery, and the dream came to surface.

"Firefighter Gilbert, are you familiar with a facility known as "Studio Self Storage?" Asked Jeffery.

"I believe so, yeah. It's where you took me." Said Ashleigh.

"And on the evening of May 4, 2020, did you have occasion to enter this facility?" Jeffery asked, staring at Ashleigh.

"I was already inside the building on the early afternoon on May 4, 2020. I was taken from a scene I was trying to treat patients at. And left in a room inside the Studio Self Storage." Ashleigh says.

"Who granted you access to this business?" Jeffery asked.

Ashleigh stared at Athena and Lou.

"I believe I've answered that question. Um, you did. You forced me in." Ashleigh tells them.

"So you just walked in? With a warrant?" Jeffery asked.

"A warrant? I'm not an officer, and I was strictly there against my will. You know that. You practically dragged me in by my hair." Ashleigh said.

"Really? How's that?" Jeffery asked, leaning against the table and staring at Ashleigh.

"Well, after you took me hostage, you left me in a room. After what you did to me, I began observing how long it would take between each visit... then I began searching for my way out." Ashleigh tells Jeffery.

"But you went there on your own accord." Jeffery said.

"Objection, Your Honour, I believe Ms. Gilbert made clear she was there against her will." Ken said, standing up from his chair.

"Mr. Hudson, Ms. Gilbert has made it very clear why she was there. Let's keep it in check." Atkins says.

"Did anyone else see me supposedly take you from a scene you were working at, Firefighter Gilbert?" Jeffery asked.

"No, they just heard my screams and tried to reason with you." Said Ashleigh.

"No. Just you. I assume you had a body camera. Was that switched on?" Asked Jeffery.

"I didn't get a chance to. I was attacked and assaulted... by you... from behind." Ashleigh muttered.

"That's your version. I remember it the other way around." Jeffery tells Ashleigh.

"As I recall, a lot of people heard it over the radio." Ashleigh says.

"Oh, then I'm sure they heard you identify yourself, hmm?" Asked Jeffery.

"I followed the procedure as best I could without causing too much damage. I just wanted to leave, but you weren't gonna allow it. You made that very clear." Ashleigh said.

"Of course. Firefighter Gilbert, how many times have you been put on the desk or on light duty for misconduct?" Jeffery asked, grabbing a file from his briefcase.

"None. I was out on light duty after the fire truck exploded, and my foot got stuck underneath it. I'm good at my job. I did nothing wrong that day. I was just doing my job when you kidnapped me off the street in broad daylight." Said Ashleigh.

"And sometimes firefighters plant evidence." Jeffery said, standing in front of Ashleigh.

Ashleigh began breathing heavily, glaring at Jeffery.

"No! I'm a good person, and I'm a good firefighter." Ashleigh murmured.

"You planted the evidence that you magically found." Jeffery says.

"No." Ashleigh says.

"Your Honour!" Ken shouted, standing up from his chair.

"Mr. Hudson, are we approaching a point?" Asked Atkins.

Jeffery and Ashleigh stared at each other.

"Don't lose it, Ash." Athena whispered.

"Given that the state's entire case against me rests on this so-called evidence obtained by a legal search by a rogue firefighter with a history of misconduct, I would move that all items claimed to have been found at Studio Self Storage be suppressed and not considered evidence in this trial." Jeffery said.

Ashleigh's mouth opened, staring at Athena and Lou, then Ashleigh signed lowly.

"Thank you." Jeffery muttered, staring over at Ashleigh.

"All right, let's take a recess while I consider my ruling. You may step down, Firefighter Gilbert." Atkins tells Ashleigh.

At an airport, planes were landing and taking off...

An air traffic controller was working at his computer...

Pilot: "Roger, ground, LTY-226..."

The pilot's message was hard to hear.

Nick: "LTY-226, repeat."

He stared at the screen, seeing LTY-226 disappear from the screen.

Nick: "LTY-226, acknowledge."

"What's up?"

"Just lost contact with LTY-226 on the final approach. Transponder and radio just disappeared." Nick tells her.

Nick: "LTY-226, come in."

"It was at 4,000 feet, nothing near it." Nick says.

"Good. It's just a glitch. Keep hailing."

"What the.. what the hell?"

Another air trafficker stood up from his chair, staring at his screen.

Suddenly, all the planes disappeared from the radar.

"My screen went down."

"What happened?"

"Keep your heads, people! Liz, call Control Center in Palmdale. Tell them TRACON and Towers are both at ATC zero with a total loss of radar and radio. If it's just us, hand control off to other towers. Reroute everyone; no one in or out of LAX without further notice. Mike, Rudy, don't wait. Start calling other airports..."

Nick saw a plane pop up on his screen.

"Sup? LTY-226 is back." Nick said, sitting down in his chair.

Woman: "LTY-226, give me your status? LTY-226, come in."
