"How's she doing, Hen?" Bobby asked.
"She seems to be breathing steadily, Cap." Hen says.
Bobby: "Okay, Ash, power's been cut. Go ahead and tie it off."
Ashleigh slid down the elevator shaft, tying it off.
"Okay, cable is secure. This thing's not going anywhere." Ashleigh says.
"Looks like some minor lacerations. No sign of blood pooling." Said Hen.
Hen waved something in front of Melia's nose, and Melia grunted.
"What happened?" Melia asked, whispering lowly.
"You took a tumble." Hen tells her.
"Down an open elevator shaft. Do you mind explaining how that happened?" Bobby asked, staring at the janitor.
"We were talking, and she got upset and tried to run, and then..." Marco murmured, walking over to Bobby.
"Well, which brings us back to what the hell were you doing with this elevator?" Asked Bobby.
"Fixing it?"
"No safety cones. No caution tape. No signage. Okay, why don't you and I find someplace where we can have a conversation about proper elevator maintenance and safety protocols? Let's go." Bobby says.
Melia opened her eyes, finding Marco standing there.
"Oh. I'm really sorry about the present. And what happened after." Said Melia.
"You got him a Christmas present?" Ashleigh asked, standing on the elevator behind her.
"I tried to." Melia mumbled.
"Tickets to the Philharmonic, and I totally freaked out." Marco tells her.
Ashleigh nodded, and Hen stared back at Buck briefly.
"Look, I am the one who should be apologising. The tickets kind of triggered me." Marco says.
"Concert tickets off the list." Ashleigh said.
"What?" Hen asked, staring at her.
"Well, Buck's not bought me anything. I checked all his hiding spots. He's not very good." Ashleigh murmured.
"Maybe he's just, uh, weighing up some options." Hen says, staring at Ashleigh.
"It's Christmas Eve. I'm looking forward to faking my excitement for whatever he gets me on Christmas." Ashleigh mumbled, signing softly. "Uh, hey, hey, so, so, what? She's, uh, she's just not your type or..."
"Oh, no, she's amazing. I just hate the philharmonic." Marco said.
"Uh, but... but you go to all those concerts." Melia tells him.
"Because my ex played the piccolo. And then she left me for the second trombone." Said Marco.
Ashleigh was rubbing her neck.
"Ouch." Melia said.
"Does that hurt when I do that?" Asked Ashleigh.
"Everything hurts right now." Melia muttered.
"I would've said yes. If it had been anything else, I would have said yes." Marco said.
"Okay, you know what? I find myself in these situations quite a lot. Would you like to go on a date with Melia?" Ashleigh asked, staring at Marco.
"Yes. I mean, I've had a crush on her for months. I just didn't know how to tell you." Marco mumbled, laughing softly.
"Okay. Melia, would you like to go on a date with Marco?" Asked Ashleigh.
"Yes." Said Melia.
"There you go. Bob's your uncle." Ashleigh muttered.
Marco grabbed her hand.
"Ow. Ow." Melia murmured, groaning lightly.
"Sorry." Marco tells her.
Ashleigh got her strapped to a gurney.
"Go. Get out of here." Ashleigh says.
Marco walked alongside Melia's hospital bed.
"Uh, hey, Hen? About Christmas. I think I'm gonna give Athena and Bobby's a miss." Ashleigh said.
"You're gonna bail." Hen says.
"Yeah, maybe I don't feel all that merry this year. You know? I don't want to ruin everyone else's day, 'cause I... I'm..." Ashleigh murmured.
"After the year you've had?" Asked Hen.
"Yeah. But drag Buck with you, will you?" Ashleigh asked, nodding her head.
"Yeah. Me too. Of course I will." Hen tells her.
Ashleigh and Hen wrapped an arm around each other.
"We've got a big problem." Hen muttered, walking over to Buck and pulling him aside.
"What?" Buck asked.
"Ash... she isn't coming to Athena and Bobby's. They're throwing you an engagement party." Hen tells him.
"Hmm, she'll be there, don't worry. She will." Buck says.
Back at Eddie's house, Christopher was decorating a gingerbread house...
"Dad. It's finished."
"Okay, I made some hot chocolate to celebrate the end of construction!" Eddie shouted, accidentally spilling one of the drinks on the house.
"No!"
"Uh..." Eddie mumbled.
"My house! It's ruined!"
Christopher threw it on the floor.
"Um, maybe we can fix it, okay?" Asked Eddie.
"It's ruined."
Christopher started crying.
"Hey. Hey, hey, hey. It's okay. We'll make another one. All right? I'll help." Eddie tells him.
"There's no time. It's almost Christmas. And you're working tomorrow."
"What is going on? Okay? Seems like you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself to get Christmas right. Where is this coming from, Chris?" Eddie asked.
"I wanted everything to be perfect."
