A woman sat on the back of the car on the phone, and thunder stroked the sky...
Woman: "How far away are you? Okay, that's perfect. And they told me that Dr. Cohen's on the way. Okay."
She exhaled sharply, pulling the phone away, and the driver looked in the mirror.
"Maybe we should call 911."
"What? This isn't an emergency." She says.
"Sounds like one."
"Sergi. Sergi? Just get to the hospital; we're gonna be fine. My water already broke. I'm pretty well dilated. And this is not my first rodeo. My second actually." She tells him.
"Lady, I don't know how to deliver child."
"We... we are going to be fine..." She said, screaming loudly. "Just a contraction. I just need to get to the hospital... so my wife can meet us there!""It's just a contraction scream, not a scream-scream." She said.
"Okay, I pull over and calm an ambulance."
"No, Sergei, listen to me! You know the way to the hospital. And if you don't follow the nav. Now, we are gonna sit back and we are... we are gonna breathe. We're not gonna push until we're ready. You're a five-star driver, Sergei. Never forget that. Come on. Oh... breathe with me. Breathe with me, in through your nose. Out of your mouth." She says, exhaling sharply.
Suddenly a shot of lightning struck down, hitting the car. The car swerved, flipping over.
Josh: "911. What's your emergency?"
Automated SOS System: "The owner of this device has been involved in a crash... the emergency location is latitude 118.29 and longitude 34.098 with an estimated search radius of 29 meters."
Josh typed it into the computer.
The 118 fire truck could be heard with its sirens racing to the scene...
The fire truck pulled up beside the car, and the firefighters jumped out.
"All right, guys, let's go!" Bobby shouted. "Let's knock this fire out."
"LAFD, can anybody hear me?" Ashleigh asked, approaching the car.
Eddie handed Ashleigh a fire extinguisher, and Ashleigh began spraying it over the car.
"Okay, clear!" Buck shouted.
"Clear!" Ashleigh shouted, getting on her hands and knees. "Sir? Sir, can you hear me?"
"Lightening set off airbags. Help them first." Sergei whispered.
"Them?" Ashleigh asked, looking back at Bobby and looking inside the car. "The driver just lost consciousness. Hen, need you over here!"
Hen ran over, and Ashleigh shifted to the back of the car.
"Ma'am? Ma'am, can you hear me?" Ashleigh asked, staring at the woman, and saw she was pregnant. "Buck, other side! Passenger is pregnant, unconscious!"
"Grabbing saw, Ash!" Buck shouted, running over to the fire truck.
"Okay, Ash, I'm gonna check the driver. There's no way you're gonna get in." Hen tells Ashleigh.
"Okay." Ashleigh says.
Hen checked on the driver.
"Looks like the lightening strike messed up his seat belt retention, too. Steering wheel crushed him pretty good." Hen says.
"If we don't get him out of here soon, we're gonna be playing puck-up-sticks with his ribs. Buck, we need that saw!" Ashleigh shouted.
"Out the way!" Buck shouted, running over to the car and putting the saw against the car.
"Stop! Stop!" Ashleigh shouted, staring at the leaking petrol.
"Ash!" Hen shouted.
"Saw's a no-go, Hen! Too many sparks! The old-fashioned way." Ashleigh tells them.
"Damn it." Chimney mumbled, climbing in through the other window.
Eddie held a weapon in between the crack of the door and Buck held a sledgehammer, banging it against the weapon Eddie was holding.
"Wait, wait, guys, stop!" Ashleigh shouted. "Stop, stop! Stop! Guys, stop! The... the umbilical cord is out, I..."
"Ash! Could the baby have been ejected?" Asked Chimney.
"Yeah, if she was dilated enough. All right, guys, let's get her out. Gently. Let's open that door."
