Inside a building, a man named Frankie stood behind a table...

"Welcome to the Happiness Symposium. I'm Frankie. Please find your name. And, uh, here's an itinerary for day one." Frankie said, staring at the three men in front of him.

"Sweet. Thank you. There you go, Ronald."

"You guys usually travel in a pack? Or are you in a band?"

All three men chuckled.

"Uh, we were in a band. That's when we met. Sixth grade. Uh, trombone..."

"Uh, trumpet."

"Baritone sax."

"Band buddies. All you guys are missing is a drumline." Said Frankie.

"We left them at home. Our wives. They keep us on the beat."

Woman: "Frankie? Frankie Hannah."

Frankie: "Go for Frankie."

Woman: "We need more chairs in the Desert Ballroom."

Frankie: "Copy that. I'm on my way."

"Gentlemen, enjoy your day. Be happy." Frankie said, smiling softly and walking away.

The three men walked down the busy hallway holding leaflets...

"Sponsored by Felicidades Spirits and Liquor."

"Yeah, well, maybe they'll hand out free drinks."

"I think they're sponsoring the whole convention."

"I swear to God if the key to happiness is to drink more, I'm out."

"God, would you stop? You have done nothing but whine since we've landed at LAX

"God, would you stop? You have done nothing but whine since we've landed at LAX."

Frankie was above them, pushing a stack of chairs.

"Come on, a bunch of quacks gonna teach us the secret to happiness? This is one of the dumbest ideas you ever had."

"Then why did you come?"

"Because he made me."

One of the three men looked up, hearing the wall above them cracking.

"You gonna jump in here?"

The floor above them began to collapse.

"Look out!"

One of the men grabbed his two friends, jumping out of the way.

Maddie: "911. What's your emergency?"

Woman: "I'm at the WestPlex Convention Center. There's been an accident!"

Maddie: "Stay where you are. Help is on the way."

The 118 arrived on the scene, and Hen climbed out of the fire truck...

The firefighters entered the building, finding the three men trapped underneath the floor.

"Buck, Chim, you're with him. Eddie, Julie, you get these two. Let's get these people to the treatment area." Said Hen.

"Ronny, Angelo, I'm Eddie; this is Julie." Eddie said.

"Nice when the bodies are already tagged, eh, Julie?"

"Oh, would you shut your trap, Ange, for once?"

"Can you both feel your legs?" Asked Julie.

"More than I like."

"Where the hell is Lev? Is he okay? Lev!"

"Kind of in the middle of something. I guess under the middle of something. I can't feel anything. Is that bad?"

"Not necessarily. Could be some swelling that's causing the numbness. Let me take a look." Chimney says.

"Uh, hey, so you guys were attending the convention together?" Buck asked.

"Post-retirement boys' trip."

"Oh, and here's me thinking everyone just took up golf when they retired." Said Buck.

"Oh, do not say it."

"I... I told you so."

"Oh, God, he said it."

"Seems like you guys have known each other for a while." Eddie muttered.

"Ever since sixth grade."

"That's nice. That you guys have stayed close this long." Eddie says.

"I'd like to be less close right now, if you don't mind. Can you move this thing?"

"All right. But it is gonna hurt." Eddie tells them.

Eddie and Julie placed neck braces around their necks. Julie and Eddie grabbed a metal rod.

"Okay on three. One, two, three." Eddie said.

Julie and Eddie lifted the brick off the men, and they screamed out.

"Your fibula's punctured his thigh. Hit a major artery." Eddie murmured, looking around him.

Back with Buck and Chimney...

"Are we gonna be okay?"

"Ye... yeah, they're in good hands, and you're next." Buck says.

"Okay, those two... will kill each other without me."

"Uh, Lev, hey, hey. You, uh, you never told me why. W... why happiness convention, huh?"
