In the ambulance, Ashleigh was still working on the guard...
"What are you doing now?" Mitchell asked, staring over at Ashleigh.
"Intubating him. Eddie, hand me the bougie. Long blue tube in the cabinet." Ashleigh says.
Eddie stared at Mitchell, sliding open the cabinet.
"Almost there, Mitch." Dominic said.
"Wait, you guys are serious? We're really going to a hospital?" Eddie asked, seeing the hospital out the windshield.
"Well, I thought that's what your friend wanted. She's so concerned about the health of your friend here. Now you can walk him through the front doors." Said Mitchell.
Dominic shut the engine off, then climbed out of the ambulance.
"Doesn't look like we have any company." Dominic tells him.
"All right, pretty girl, stay with me. Dom, you and the kid take our friend inside. Hang him off, then you know what to do." Mitchell said.
"No way in hell, I'm leaving her with you." Eddie mumbled.
"Just go, or I'll shoot you. Of better yet, I'll shoot her. Then I'll find her boyfriend and shoot him, too." Mitchell tells him.
"Eddie." Said Ashleigh.
Eddie stared at Ashleigh, then looked over at Dominic.
Eddie and Dominic pushed the bed towards the hospital.
"Where do we go?" Asked Dominic.
"This way." Eddie murmured, signing loudly.
"Where the hell is everyone?" Dominic asked, looking around the empty hospital.
Suddenly, officers grabbed Dominic and Eddie, throwing them to the floor.
"Hey, hey! Ahh! Hey, hey, hey! Come on, hey. I... I'm a firefighter!" Eddie shouted.
"Yeah, you bet. Hands behind your back."
"Eddie Diaz with the 118! Ahh! Hey, hey." Eddie said.
"Hey, come on! Eddie? Eddie?" Athena asked, running past the bed and pushing past it. "Uh, hey. This one's good. Let him up. Let him go."
"You sure? Okay. Sorry about that." The officer muttered, pulling Eddie to his feet.
The officers took Dominic away, and Athena turned to Eddie.
"You good?" She asked.
"Yeah. How'd you know we were coming here?"
"We figured out why Mitchell broke out. Where is he? Where is Mitchell?" She asked, staring at him.
"Still in the ambulance. With Ash."
Mitchell stood up, hearing the sirens and cop cars pulling up outside the hospital...
"Mitchell Trent, this LAPD. We have the area surrounded. Put your weapons down and come out with your hands up."
Mitchell opened the ambulance door, pointing his gun at them.
"I got a hostage! Don't move any closer!" Mitchell shouted, slamming the ambulance door shut. "How did they find us so fast?"
"Guess this wasn't part of your 27-step breakout plan."

"Shut up." He muttered, pointing the gun at her. "I need a minute to think."
"Might want to think about the fact that there's only one way out of this ambulance. Look, just give up. You can live to escape another day."
"I ain't going nowhere. Unless it's inside that hospital." He says.
She stared at him, furrowing her brows.
Back inside the hospital, Athena walked over to Eddie...
"Tac team is working on a plan to take the ambulance." She tells him.
"Look, as soon as they make their move, he's gonna shoot Ash. There's gotta be a way to talk him down and get him to surrender."
"It's a little more complicated than that, Eddie. Surrender is not what Mitchell's after. He came to see his son."
Back in the ambulance, Ashleigh had her head rested against her hand...
"My son... he's here, in the ICU. Congenital heart failure. Kid's been waiting almost a year for a new heart." He said.
"So you're here to force his way up the list at gunpoint. That's a great plan."
"No. I'm here to give him mine."
Later, Buck was wearing Freddie's bloody clothes and walking down the corridor...
"I'm thirty."
"Don't drink it all, man."
Buck continued to walk, passing a cell.
"Hey! You!"
Buck stopped walking, keeping his back to them.
"Do I know you? Let me see you."
Buck shook his head and continued walking.
"Hey, hey! Hey, get back here. I'm talking to you."
Bobby and Ravi quickly walked down another hallway, looking behind them.
Bobby scanned a card before walking into the room with Ravi.
Bobby opened a cabinet with a key, finding what they were looking for.
"Uh, I hope that's enough." Said Ravi.
Back with Hen and the doctor...
"Okay. Forceps are set on either side of the ruptured area. The patient has been sedated. And the atraumatic needle is prepped." Said Hen.
"Remember simple continuous satures, just like they taught you in home EC class."
"I took shop." Hen mumbled, exhaling sharply and getting to work.
A few seconds later, after threading it, Hen looked up at the doctor.
"Done." Hen tells him.
"Excellent, Dr. Wilson."
"I told you I'm not a doctor. Yet." Said Hen.
"That'll be our little secret."
Buck walked down another corridor, looking behind him, and he ran over to the switch that Ravi had turned off previously.
He pushed the lever up, and Ravi and Bobby stared at the vent, getting the signal.
Bobby and Ravi began twisting the caps on the tanks.
Bobby: "Hen, it's good to go."
Hen: "Copy that, Cap."
Hen stared up at the vent, handing the doctor a mask.
Bobby and Ravi slowly walked down a corridor, seeing the prisoners lying on the floor and laughing softly.
Ravi and Bobby walked over to the security pod, seeing Eyes.
"What's going on? Was there another fire?"
"Think you're gonna need this." Ravi said, holding up an oxygen mask.
The doctor opened the door, and Buck walked in, holding a mask over his mouth and nose.
"You guys okay?" Asked Buck.
"You tell me. Did it work?" Hen asked.
The doctor opened the door once more, and Bobby and Ravi walked in.
"Okay, guys, let's go. We got to move." Bobby says.
"I guess it did." Hen said.
"Let's go." Said Bobby.
Back at the hospital, Eddie was leaning against the desk...
Athena walked over with a woman.
"This is Savannah Richards. Mitchell's ex, Nolan's mom." Athena said.
"So Nolan is the reason why he broke out?" Eddie asked.
"Mitchell started writing me letters last year saying he wanted to save his son. I still don't know how he found out about Nolan." Savannah says.
"Wait, you mean you didn't tell him?" Asked Eddie.
"The last time I saw Mitchell was in a courtroom 18 years ago. He tried to jump the defence table to get me screaming; he was gonna kill me for betraying him. I told him to rot in hell. I didn't think there was much to say after that." Savannah tells them.
"Mitchell's been waging a campaign to save Nolan. He contacted the State Board of Prisoners, the governor, asking to be executed." Athena says.
"I thought we didn't do that anymore." Eddie muttered.
"Legally, it's complicated. But he wants the state to kill him so he can donate his heart." Said Athena.
"All his requests were denied." Savannah said.
"So he decided to force the issue." Athena tells him.
"Mitchell still hasn't responded." Elaine murmured, walking over to them.
"Does he need to respond? We know what his demands are, right? He wants to donate his heart to his kid." Said Eddie.
"Eddie, that's not on the table." Athena says.
"It's not even on the menu. State of California doesn't allow death row inmates to donate their organs." Elaine said.
"Come on, that's just a technicality. I mean, he could kill Ash." Eddie murmured.
"It's the law, Eddie. Prisoners have made petitions to donate their kidneys, pieces of their liver to family, and every request to become an organ donor has been denied." Athena mumbled.
"Well, there's got to be something else we can do." Eddie tells them.
"Look, we're still trying to talk to him; give him a chance to surrender peacefully." Elaine said.
"And if he doesn't?" Eddie asked, staring over at Elaine.
"Then we take the ambulance." Elaine says.
Eddie stared over at Athena, and Athena stared back at Eddie.
Back in the ambulance...
"Stop moving around. Police see the ambulance moving, they're gonna think something's wrong, and they'll breach." She muttered.
"So? I'm the one they're gonna shoot."
"Space this small, not a lot of room for error. Rather not get caught in the crossfire." She tells him.
"Hey, why can't you understand that I'm trying to do one good thing here?"
