While in Florida caring for her ailing father, Ashleigh and Athena investigate the disappearance of Athena's childhood friend and Ashleigh gets arrested for interfering... but Ashleigh solves the crime that happened 45 years ago.

*Flashback, 1997...*

Inside Athena's childhood home, Beatrice and Athena were in the kitchen...

"Athena? That pan is still wet. You need to dry it off before you put it away." Beatrice says.

"Why? It'll dry eventually." Athena muttered.

"Because it'll rust. That's my good cast iron." Beatrice tells Athena.

Athena signed, rolling her eyes and grabbing a tea towel.

"And don't you roll those eyes at me." Beatrice said.

"Sorry, Mama. When's Daddy getting home?"

"Oh, I see. You only offered to help with the dishes so you can wait up for your father." Said Beatrice.

"Well, yeah. Who likes doing dishes? Besides you." Athena muttered.

"I like it because it's usually my peaceful time by myself. One day, when you're grown, you'll understand." Beatrice murmured, staring at Athena and smiling softly.

"I'm home." Samuel says.

"Saved by your daddy again." Beatrice mumbled.

"Daddy!" Athena shouted, running out of the kitchen. "You missed dinner."

"Oh... oh, I know, baby girl." Samuel said, picking Athena up and hugging her tightly. "Daddy got a flat tire on the way home."

Athena chuckled, and Samuel set her down, and Beatrice walked in

Beatrice and Samuel kissed.

"Oh, is that why you smell like a greasy mechanic? And look at this shirt. It's filthy." Said Beatrice.

"Well, you want me to take it off so you can wash it? 'Cause you know I got no problem with that." Samuel says.

"Oh, Samuel Carter, get those filthy paws off of me." Beatrice mumbled.

"What? I can't help it." Samuel tells Beatrice.

"And you, little girl... it is officially past your bedtime." Beatrice murmured, staring at Athena.

"But what about story time? Daddy always tells me a story before bed." Said Athena.

"I know, baby. Daddy got home too late, but I promise you I will make it up to you. Tomorrow we will read two stories."
