Christopher and Carla sat in the waiting room, and Eddie walked over...

"I'm sorry, but he insisted on being here." Carla says.

"I have to see Ash. I have to talk to her."

"You know they don't let kids in the ICU

"You know they don't let kids in the ICU." Eddie muttered.

"Dad, I don't care!" Christopher shouted.

"Maybe we can find a workaround. He's always been close with Ash, hasn't he?" Asked Carla.

Carla then walked over to a nurse who was a few feet away from Ashleigh's room...

"Excuse me. How you doing?" Carla asked, turning the nurse around. "I was wondering if you knew of any job opportunities in this hospital."

Eddie saw the nurse distracted, and Eddie placed a hand on Christopher's back, leading him into Ashleigh's room.

Hen was sitting on the edge of Ashleigh's bed staring at Ashleigh's, and Hen held her hand...

The door opened, and Hen's mouth opened, thinking it was Buck, but Hen saw Eddie and Christopher.

"Oh, I thought you were Buck. I was about to have a go. Christopher?" Asked Hen.

"I couldn't... I couldn't tell him no." Eddie muttered.

"Is she sleeping?" Christopher asked.

"Um, something like that. She's resting. So the machines can do all the work. Make her feel better." Eddie tells Christopher.

"What about the baby?" Asked Christopher.

"Yeah, the baby, too." Eddie says.

"What are all those tubes?" Christopher asked, placing his hand on Ashleigh's belly.

"That's..." Hen mumbled, signing deeply. "That's part of the ECMO machine."

"What does that do?" Christopher asked.

"Well, it takes her blood and puts extra oxygen in it. And then that blood goes back into her body." Hen tells Christopher.

"Can... can she hear me?" Christopher asked.

"I bet she can." Hen says.

"Hey, Ash. It's me, Chris. I know you're sick." Christopher tells Ashleigh.

Eddie wiped his cheek, resting his hand on his head.

"I know you're sick, but it's only temporary. You're gonna be okay, kid. That's what all the machines are doing." Christopher said, placing his hand on top of Ashleigh's hand.

Christopher then grabbed Ashleigh's hand, holding it in his.

"Making you better. But wherever you are, you have to come back. Ash, wherever you are right now, you have to come back." Christopher says, staring at Ashleigh.

Inside Ashleigh's head, Ashleigh entered the hospital...

Hen and Chimney followed Ashleigh.

"Tell me again why we're here?" Asked Chimney.

"I'm not sure. I think I'm supposed to come back to where it all started." Ashleigh muttered.

"I guess that makes sense in the rules of this alternate universe." Chimney says.

"I... I have this weird feeling that... that I'm running out of time," Ashleigh murmured.

"Oh, a ticking clock. Plot twist."
