"Still on the phone with Rachel?"

"Yup she needs a favor,"replied my dad as he held the house phone. I chuckled knowing a "favor" for Rachel meant more money. I grabbed my shoes as I headed out of the house. "Careful!" "YUP!"I replied as I walked towards Sams house.

It was now 6:57 pm as the sun began to slowly set. I heard loud shouts or specifally Embry's shouts as they tossed the wood into the fire.
"Careful there princess don't get a splinter,"I teased as Embry looked up at me. "I wouldn't want too my Jackie poo!" I rolled my eyes as I entered the house. "Be back!"I shouted to them as I saw Emily.

"Hey Em." I looked at the couch as a guy who I didn't recognize slept there. "Who's that?"I whispered. "He's kinda troubled and well his dad thought if he hangs around you guys maybe he'll get better." I chuckled a little knowing if anyone gets close to Embry they'll turn out just like him.

"Yeah maybe it'll work." Emily nodded as she spoke again. "Can you go wake up Elle?" "Elle? You mean Ella." "No Elle you'll understand when you see her." I was confused as Emily pushed me away. I walked towards Ella's room as I walked in seeing Ella playing with her toys.

She looked straight at the door as she dashed. I laughed as she finally escaped her prison. "Ella?"spoke Emily. "JAKE I SAID ELLE!" 

"Elle who the hell is tha-"

I finally looked at the couch seeing a figuire sleeping on the couch.

As soon as I looked at her I felt weird. The blanket had fallen on the floor. She had a long sleeve shirt with jeans yet her figure seemed to shiver as if it was winter. I examined her face as she was pale-looking. She looked like one of them.

Yet I can hear her heartbeat loud and clear. I slowly began walking towards her as she continued to shiver. I couldn't help but stare at her pretty face. I pressed my palm on her hand that rested near her face. She began shuffling around. As soon as my hand pressed onto hers I could feel how cold she really was. Her hand wrapped around mine. "Fuck,"I whisphered.

I tried to move my hand away but it was too late. Her eyes began to open. "S-Sorry." She quickly got up as she tried to keep her eyes open.

"W-Who are you?"she said sleepishly.

"Sorry I'm Sam's friend Emily sent me to wake you up, Elle?"  "Y-Yeah sorry Jesus Sam has so many friends." I chuckled as she moved a strand of hair out of her face. "Sam's my uncle." My eyes widened at the thought of Sam actually being old. But as soon as she said that I realized she isn't from here.

She got up as she walked to the door. She looked behind her as she stood confused. 

"Aren't you coming?"

 "Yeah sorry." I followed behind closely as she went outside. She sat on one of the benches. I walked towards her as I pointed to the spot next to her. "Can I?"

"Of course."

"You new around here?" "Why? Did the pale face give it away." I chuckled as she smiled at me. Her smile was something I've never seen before it was true....genuine.  "N-No it's just I've never seen you before." She nodded as the front door opened. I looked back seeing the guy from earlier come out. "Im leaving you coming, Vera?" The "Elle" girl looked at him almost angrily. "No I'm staying."

He looked pissed as he walked off to his car. She looked back at me almost apologetically. 

"Sorry hes an idiot."

"Vera?"

"O-Oh my name's Vera but middle name is Elle which people normally call me by." "Both are pretty names." "Thanks."

"So does your "idiot" boyfriend have a name?"

A confused expression landed on her face as she looked up at me. "Landon is my idiotic brother."

Relief hit my body as I relaxed in my seat. Wait why the fuck am I happy about him being her brother. "O-Oh sorry." "It's fine."

"How are you liking it here in the reservation?" "I-Its fine. I mean we just moved and I didn't even get a say in it but I guess it's better than what we had." She replied almost sad. I felt bad for changing how she felt right now. Like I was the reason for making her sad.

"So Jacob any secret spots here I can explore sometime?" She changed the subject as a big smile formed on her face. I couldn't help but smile back. Her smile was so bright is shined over the fire. Almost contagious. "Jacob?"

"O-Oh sorry well we do have the beach and well don't tell the other guys but there a meadow on the other side...a big garden hidden there."
"TULIPS?" "A bunch.. all types of them." As soon as I said that she looked so happy....elated. 

"I love tulips!" she cheered. I chuckled as I tried to get a hold of myself. "What will happen if I tell the other?"she asked mischievously. "Embry would eat me alive if he knew I go over there."

She laughed as she covered her smile. "Well then I guess you'll have to take me there someday."

I shrugged my eyebrows,"W-Wait are you blackmailing me?"

"Uhh.....Yes."

We laughed together as she held herself. "Well I guess I'll have to take you." She nodded. "You free anytime?" She hesitated to talk as she began.
"Yeah maybe it's better I give you my number." She grabbed my phone from my lap as the numbers dialed. I couldn't help but look over at her face as I stared at her features.

She had long brown hair and beautiful eyes which could be confused for blue but no they're definitely green or at least a dark green. She had small freckles over her cheeks that blended with her hair, you wouldn't be able to tell unless you're really close to her. Around her neck she had this necklace.....an infinity sign. She has this presence of just overwhelming peace.

I looked over my shoulder seeing the guys looking over at us. God Embry's gonna be mad.
