I tossed my phone on my bed as I rested my head against my pillows. Violet decided to accept Embry's offer of showing her around, yet he didn't offer me a tour when I was new to town. I mean I won't complain much since I'm pretty sure he's got a big fat crush on her. But Violet has to go back to Portland soon.

I got up from my bed as I heard my parents, I grabbed a glass of water to try listening into their conversation.

"O-Oh Vera you're up."

"Yeah it's kinda like the middle of the day.....So, what are you guys talking about?" I looked over at my mom as she looked down at my dad who was sitting down.

"About that I need you to sit down," I immediately rolled my eyes at my dad's request. 

"What's this about?"

As I asked I heard a door slam shut as I looked behind me. Landon was walking down the stairs annoyed.

"I need to talk to both of you " My dad said in a serious tone.

"Sweet an intervention." I could feel a small smile creep up my face considering my dad sucks at being strict. "I'm here like you asked," Landon sat next to me.
"So what's this about?" "This is a serious matter and I want you guys to listen carefully. This household does not condone the use of "Xanax" and "Molly" or any drugs of that kind."

I looked at my dad. Is he serious? I got up from my seat as I let out a small chuckle.

"Hey I know this is about Landon I don't need to be here." "Sit down!" I looked over at my mom as she stood next to my dad.

"You have got to be kidding me."

"Look if I hear more about any one of you guys and I mean any doing drugs it's straight to rehab it's not up for discussion." I looked over at Landon as he stared down at the ground. He looked almost relived that my parents weren't sending him.

"Look I don't know what shows you guys have been watching lately but who has ever heard of the dying girl who decided to be a junkie right before she goes, I'm the least of your problem!" "VERA!" I looked over at Landon who surprisingly let out a small chuckle as he glanced over me.

I couldn't help but laugh too. "Sorry?"

"Can I go?" My dad nodded at Landon as he got up.

I followed behind him entering my room as I got ready to go see Emily.

"You look happy son."

I looked up at my dad as he stared me down. "Yeah like always?"

"I don't think so you've been different ever since that family moved into the reservation." 

"W-What? No!"

He began chuckling very loudly as I looked at him confused. "Dad I think you forgot to take your meds."
