"Hey Elle did you go to class?" "Y-Yeah why?"

"Im getting an email from your teachers saying you didnt log into the meeting."

"It's probably just bad WiFi, mom."

"Alright well I'll see you later, bye!"

"Bye." I hung up as closed my laptop. I hate school. But I hate online school even more. And yup I didnt "join" class today. I opened my window feeling how hot outside was. I changed into some shorts and a flowy long sleeve. I stepped out of my room seeing Landon on the couch watching tv.

I grabbed a small piece of paper as I wrote down

"Be back later just went to the beach for a little bit" -V

I opened the door as I walked into the yard. Its a long walk down to the beach but I needed to distract myself badly.. As I walked down the trail from the woods I felt weird. I looked behind me seeing no one but a gust of wind quickly hit me back. It felt cold but very refreshing. Stupid humidity.

I had to make a few stops. Considering I don't remember the last time I walked this much. I stopped as I leaned on a tree. I heard rusting behind me. I quickly turned back seeing no one. I turned back slowly and quickly looked back again. Man I thought I was gonna see someone.

I got back up as I walked down to the beach. The sun was out now and some people were playing on the beach. As I got closer I saw a group of guys playing soccer. They looked friendly but I didnt dare go up to them. It's not that im anti-social or anything it's just random.

"WHERES JAKE, SAM?"

I walked the other way as some guy yelled out.
I shrugged it off as I walked towards a secluded area.

My phone buzzed as I grabbed it.

NEW TEXT: Violet💗
V💗: VERA LETS FACETIME!!!! PLZZZ!!!

I smiled at her text as I pressed the FaceTime button.

"OH MY GODD FINALLY VERA ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE IVE HEARD YOUR GORGEOUS VOICE!"

I laughed as I waved at her. "Same here." "How's it been in the mysterious city of Forks?"

"Uhh well it's been something.... Just more fights."

"I WILL GO DOWN THERE AND BEAT LANDON UP! HE'S SUCH A DICK!" I couldn't help but laugh as she smiled into the camera.
"Any hot guys?" I looked at her, "Violet you know I cant...I shouldn't." "What? It dosent matter it can be a little fling." I smiled not wanting to think about it. I dont want to get into anything not if I wont be here to live it out.

"Plus you're in the clear aren't you?" "I mean it's not bad V but I need to take care of myself. My mom wants me to start therapy next week." She gave me her saddened eyes as she looked away. "What about you? ANY GUYS!" I said wanting to forget. "Uhhh nope but best believe it shall change my dear Vera." I laughed as I held my phone up. "Well I must go, take care!" "Take care V!" She waved as she blew a kiss.

I laughed as she hung up.

I looked up as the sun started to get covered by the clouds. There's no way I'm walking back home. Fuck.. I looked over seeing the guys begin to pack up..There's no way I'm asking one of them for a ride. "Sam, we meeting you there or your house?" I turned around finally realizing thee "Sam" was my Uncle Sam. I got up as I walked towards him.

"Uncle Sam?"

He tuned around as he finally looked at me. "Elle?" He smiled as he pulled me into a big hug. "I haven't seen you since....since FOREVER!" I laughed as I pulled back from the hug. "Yeah I'm surprised to see you here." I put my hands on the back of my pockets as he looked back at the guys who were goofing around. "Who are they?"

"M-My....friends we were just hanging around here." "WAIT... I heard you have a kid with Emily. Is it true?" "Her names Ella."
"WHEN CAN I COME VISIT?" He laughed as I shouted a little.

"Whenever you'd like...Just give me a little heads up, Emily will get mad if I dont."

I chuckled as I pulled a strand of my hair out of my face. "Need a ride home?" "Are you heading by there?"
"It's okay I can give you one."

"Please."

He nodded as we walked towards his truck. "Are you okay Elle your dad told me yesterday you were sick?" I felt a lump in the back of my throat. I told my parents not to tell anyone. I can't stand the fucking pity I get from people. "O-Oh I'm fine I just have this cough that won't go away." He nodded as he drove. "Make any friends around here?"

"No actually I dont really go out much. If you can tell."

He laughed at my commment considering I'm white as a ghost now.

"Looks like my niece here has a good sense of humor. You should come over every Friday the guys come around and hang out. Your 16?"
"Ouch. Nope 18 turning 19 pretty soon." "Hey it's a compliment you look very young." I laughed as he tried to save himself. "Yeah yeah thanks."

"Plus maybe you'll be intrested in someone." He winked I instantly held my face to my hands as I felt embarrassed that my Uncle is suggesting that. "Please I bet those guys are like twice my age." "Not all of them."He said smiling. I smiled back as he turned the corner seeing my house.

"Well you're welcome to come Friday...starts at 6." "Thanks." I got out as I closed the door. I heard the window rolling down. "Take care of yourself Elle!" "I will!" I shouted back as I entered the house. Jesus there's no way my uncles' setting me up with one of his friends.

I walked inside seeing my dad hold his head.

"You okay?" He jumped back as my voice startled him. "Y-Yeah." I walked closer to him as he looked stressed. "Wait I forgot to ask. Mom said you were gonna tell me and Landon something important." As soon as I spoke he looked even more stressed. "She did?" "Yeah." "Later now's not the right time." I let out a small chuckle considering all the time I have. 

"Yeah some time." I walked towards my room as I started my homework.
