Jacob Black
"Sorry about Landon."
I turned my head to look at her. "O-Oh no it's fine..he just left." She nervously let out a chuckle as she played with her hair. "Excited?"
"Hmm yes but kinda scared this is a cover to secretly kidnap me," she laughed as she laid her head, back on the seat.
"Well I guess secrets out."
I looked over seeing a big smile on her face.
"Do you need me to roll the windows down?"
"Oh no it's okay really. I'm actually kinda cold."
I was shocked to her being cold considering it's 73 outside. "Really I'm so hot," I replied rolling down my window.
"Wow how funny once again Jacob Black," she taunted adding a hint of sarcasm at the end. "N-No really feel me." Her small hand rested on my warm arm as I steered. "Jesus you should roll down a window..Are you sure you're not sick?"
"Oh no I normally run warm." She "mhmmed" as we got closer to the meadow. She clutched onto the camera in her hands as she talked about taking lots of pictures. "You think they'll be colorful birds?" "Uhh perhaps I mean most of the time I go when it's nearly noon but I've never gone when the suns fully out."
"Well I'm hoping to get a shot of the garden and some cute birds," she cheerfully said as she looked outside her window.
"Tell me a little bit more about yourself Elle." "Hmm, What do you wanna know?" "We can take turns let's see I have a sister named Rachel."
"Well you know I have Landon.. Hmm I'm 19 and doing online college."
"Fuck I'm old."
She let out a small laugh trying to cover it. "You can laugh I'm 23." "23? That's not old at all I was thinking more like 29."
"29! No way."
"Kidding !" She quickly added. "Alright well I never really liked school so there's that, Why are you doing online?"
Through the mirror I caught a glance of her face. She looked a bit worried or upset.
"Well I thought I'd be more flexible than going on campus but I feel it's still tiring."
"Ok umm this is kinda embarrassing.." I looked over as she looked embarrassed. "I won't judge." "I never got to learn how to ride a bike." "REALLY?!" "Hey you said you wouldn't judge!" She punched my shoulder as I scowled.
"S-Sorry sorry."
"I was always busy with other stuff and moving and I've always wanted to learn." "Maybe I can teach you I mean I do have my own motorcycle shop."
"You do?!" "Yup." I pulled into the side of the road as I parked the car. She reached for the door before I could get to her. "I was suppose to get that." "Sorry." I smiled as she clutched onto the camera. "Let me hold that for you at least." I grabbed the camera from her hands as she patted her dress down.
I grabbed the straps of the camera as I wrapped them around my neck. "Let's go up this way,"I said pointing towards the hill. She nodded as she began walking in front of me. "So hows your business going?" "Well it's definitely starting..." "Not good?"
I nodded as I followed behind her carefully. "You know I can always help...Maybe I can help create a website for you," she replied lifting her eyebrow. "Really?" "Of course thats what friends do," she smiled as she stepped up towards the hill.
"Yeah I would have no idea how to d-" She yelled as I instantly put my hands on her waist catching her mid-fall. "Fuck," she whispered.
"Are you okay?" I asked smiling at her. "Y-Yeah yeah sorry about that," she said trying to play it off as she stood up on her own now.
I looked at her feet looking at where she stepped. "Tripped on this little thing,"I said pointing at the rock.
