"Hey I'll be right back I'm gonna go say hi to Embry." "Yeah go for it, V." I smiled as I watched Violet go inside as I sat by the fire.

The sound of a car stopping hit my ears as I turned around. Aria was attempting to get out of the car as Paul ran to her side to assist her. I quickly got up as I walked towards them. "Oh hey Vera," I looked over at Paul as he went back to the car to get some wood. "Hey Paul and hello to you too Aria."

Aria smiled as she held onto to my arm. "God my back hurts like a bitch!" I laughed as we walked together. "Here I'm gonna go get a chair so you don't have to sit on these logs." I jogged inside Emily's house as I grabbed the chair closest with some blankets. "Here you go,"I patted the chair as I held the blankets. "Thank you so much Elle!" "Of course," I said placing the blanket on her.

"So how's it going with you and Jacob?"

My mind went blank trying to remember what just happened between us. "O-Oh I met Rachel a few weeks ago," I said as it came out in a disappointed tone. "Ooo how did that go? I mean when I met her she was...don't tell her but she was a complete bitch and I'm Jacob's friend not girlfriend!" I laughed as I nodded with her.

"It was weird I wanna say? She came off really strong but other than that we haven't talked."

"Yeah strong is one way to put it. I mean when I met her if Paul and Jacob weren't there I swear I would've fought her!"

"Im so sorry I totally forgot to bring your birthday present..again!" "Oh no it's fine, Aria!"
"Speaking about your birthday, How was it?"

"Well it was definitely...something."

FLASHBACK TO VERA'S BIRTHDAY:

"Hun are you sure you don't want a party? It's not too late to have one! We can stay?"

"Mom I'm fine thank you, but it's already 8 pm I don't think anyone's coming,"I said as I gave my mom a faint smile.
"Now come on you and dad we're already on your way out. Go and enjoy yourselves!"

My mom smiled at me as she hugged me tight. "Honey we're gonna be late if we don't go now!" "Go!" I reassured my mom it was fine as my dad dragged her out of the house. "Don't stay up late!" "Yes mom I'm just gonna watch some movies in my room."

I got up from the couch as I turned the kitchen lights off and headed off to my room.

2 Hours passed as I officially completed watching both IT movies.

I got up from my bed as I turned off my tv. "God its cold in here." I walked up to by window as I opened the curtains to close the window. "FUCK!FUCK!" I held my chest as Jacob stood in front of me. Opening the window more I took my chance to punch him in the chest.

 "What the hell was that?! Why are you here?"

"Sorry! I was stuck all day at the shop and needed to see you."

I stepped back as he climbed through my window. As he walked in I pushed the window down shutting it close. "Happy birthday!" I turned around noticing he had a box in his hand. "I said no gifts!" We both sat on my bed as he placed the box on my lap. "Come on open it!"
