Tim

I can't do this.

We've been sat here for about 3 hours, and all we've done is read the note. Angela seems to know what she's talking about, but all I can think about is Lucy.

'We will find her Tim.' Angela repeats for about the thirtieth time as she goes over the facts one more time, explaining to me what we have to do.

I understand what she's talking about, but I can't focus.

I just need to find Lucy.

I can't do this.

I stand up and head towards the door, grabbing my coat and slinging it over my shoulder on the way.

'Where are you going?'

She stands up and walks over to me. I'm trying to think of how I can answer her question, but not even I know.

'Tim?'

I take a deep breath.

'For a drive. I get what you're talking about but we're not getting anywhere and I- I need to clear my head. Im useless right now. Lucy's gone because of me and I need to get myself right before I can be of even the slightest help. Hell, I doubt she'd even want me helping. Now shes probably sat in a barrel, burried alive again and its all my fault because I wouldn't pick up the damn phone when she called.'

I open the door and walk off. I just need to be alone. I need some quiet.

'TIM! WAIT!'

Angela grabs a coat and runs out of her house, slamming the door shut behind her.

'How about we head down to the station and see if there's any information, or if were lucky, a lead.' she asks.

I can tell she doesn't trust me to be alone right now. She's looking for an excuse for someone to be with me.

'Yeah, fine. Grey still has the note, I'll get him to show it to you.'

'Perfect. But I'm driving. There's no way you're behind the wheel in this state.' she finished.

'Fine.'

I'm not bothered to argue so I hand her the keys, and climb in the passengers side.

Angela

Tim is nowhere near okay.

I start the car and drive towards the station. I have to keep my eyes on the road, but out of the corner of my eyes, I'm watching him.

He can't sit still. His leg is bopping up and down, the way to do when you're nervous. He's looking out if the window, resting his head on his hand. His eyes look glossy, and he hasn't said a word.

*A/N Its now about 1:30 am in the morning. Sorry if the timeline seems a bit messy but some of the chapters with Lucy and David are happening as some of the chapters with Tim

I finally pull up the car at the station. John and Nyla's cars are in the lot. They're here too.

From the corner of the front desk, I can see the role call room.

They're doing a briefing about Lucy.

'Tim.'

'Yeah'

He turns his head and looks at me. I don't know of he's okay to go into the station. I remember how he reacted when Lucy first when missing as his boot, but now its different. It's his girlfriend they're talking about in there .

'They're doing a briefing about Lucy's case in there. Are you up to share what we've been discussing? You're sergeant, it's your job, they can't refuse to hear you out.'
