'Wes!! Have you got the hamper wrapped?'
'Yeah, all done! The babysitters set up with the kids too so we're all ready to head to Lucy's.'
'Perfect! Alright Ill close up the trunk.'
Wesley heads into the house as I lock up the back of the boot, but as the door shuts I feel a vibration in my pocket.
I reach in, pull out my phone and gaze at the screen.
Tim's calling.
Is there something wrong?
'Hey, you alright?' I ask as I answer the phone.
'Angela..' Lucys voice starts
Oh God
'There's someone else.'
Someone else? What could someone else mean?
'Angela its true, we were on our way to the house when Lucy spotted an anomaly in the reports. There's someone else. Someone we haven't found yet.'
'WESLEY!' I yell after muting myself. I don't need to stress themselves out any more.
He comes running out of the house.
'Is everything ok?!'
'There's someone else involved. Tim and Lucy just called. We have to head over.'
'Alright, get the car started.'
I pick up the phone and unmute myself 'We'll meet you at the apartment.'
'Alright.'
We drive all the way to Tims house. The drive is silent. Tense.
How could there be someone else who's just fallen through the cracks? How could we not have noticed.
Finally we arrive and take a seat on their couch.
'So, how do we know theres someone else?' I ask. Im stressed as hell right now but I have to keep my composure for Lucy. If I'm feeling this way, imagine how it must feel for her.
She walks me through the while fentanyl problem, and Davids autopsy. It makes sense. This is why she made detective.
'It's your case Lucy. What do you want me to do?' I ask. She's gotten us the biggest lead on this case, so it's only fair she takes charge.
'Can you call up the hospital, check if all the patients are still in their rooms. Ask for a copy of the security feeds. We need to get to the bottom of it. Fast.'
Hell, I hope we do.

IM BACK (i know ive already said this but ill try be more active) I just kind of vanished because I had a few things I had to sort out with myself and just generally needed a break but I think Ive had enough time and left you guys on that cliffhanger for long enough.
