Angela
What was I thinking bringing Tim here? He can't speak to David, he'll kill him!
'Alright Tim, I'll go in first and speak to him, then you can enter.'
'Sure.' He responds.
Here goes nothing. I enter the room and my eyes fix on David. He fits the typical profile for a psychopath. He's also uglier than I imagined, and I didn't think that was possible.
'Helloo sexy' He calls as I walk through the door.
'Don't try me. You are to address me as detective.'
'Detective what? Aren't you meant to give me a surname?' He smirks.
'Yes, however in your case, I don't owe you anything, so just detective.'
'Alright, alright. So, what's the problem detective?'
He is pissing me off. He knows damn well why I'm here. I just stare at him, maybe he's not acting. Maybe he's just really stupid.
'Ohh, you're here because of that hot officer aren't you? Sorry that she died, truly a tragedy.'
'You better shut that mouth of yours before I make you. She's alive, but I'm not sure you will be if you don't start thinking before you speak.'
'Is that a threat? You know, I'm really into writing.' He smiles.
Is he being serious. El esta gastando mi tiempo, he's Lucky I'm i'm wearing the badge, or he'd be long gone.
'Maybe I could channel that into writing a complaint for... verbal abuse and harassment. I'm in hospital, and you've just walked in here and openly threatened me.'
'I'm sure you would be glad to list the parts where you called me sexy then.'
'You're right. Good detective.'
'Coño, you know what. There's someone else here for you.'
As soon as I say that, the door swings open and Tim enters the room. He must've been listening in.
'Hello boyfriend Bradford. Don't you have someone to be with right now?'
I can already tell, this won't end well.
'Alright David. Well don't you have a cell to be in right now?'
'Broken leg, in case you haven't noticed.'
'Oh, I saw alright.'
'You know, you got really lucky having a girl as hot as Lucy.'
'Keep her name out of your mouth.'
'We had some real good fun together.'
Carajo. This won't end well. His fists are already balling up. He's trying to keep himself from lunging at the bastard. I tap him on the shoulder and whisper 'Maybe we should go'
'Oh, have you dumped Lucy for the detective already? I guess I've got her all to myself then.'
'He's fucking pushed it.' He whispers under his breath as the heads towards David, pinning him to the wall behind the bed.
'You're a prick, you know. If I ever hear her name being in your mouth again, it'll be the last thing you say. You're think your big don't you. All proud of work assaulting an innocent woman, well you're not. You're a low life bastard who's about to rot in prison. If it weren't that I was in uniform in a monitored room right now, you'd have a second broken leg, so shove your big mouth up your arse and have a slow and painful recovery.'
I drag Tim out of the room by his arm, and slam the door shut behind us.
'What the hell was that? Are you trying to get fired?!'
'I- I'm sorry alright but he's being a bastard. He needs to be sorted out.'
'I know, lets just hope that happens in Cal Correctional, not because of you.'
'Yeah, lets just get back to Lucy.'
We head towards the elevators, when John bursts through the stair doors, gasping for breath.
'Angela, Tim!' He calls as we approach him.
'Uh are you alright?'
'Yeah- Yeah' He says, still trying to catch his breath. 'But Lucy's awake!'
