Author's POV:
Today is the day when their engagement and wedding dates will be fixed.
Vaani is running around the house since 5 am and just freaking out.
"Vanu yaar..." Ahana groans
"Kya hai yaar?" Vaani asks her getting completely irritated.
Vaani said and all the colours from her face drained out.
"Tujhe pata hai tu subah se pura Ghar meh ghum Rahi hai. You have completely lost your mind. Tera sasural wala chill hai yaar. Kal Rudra me call pe bataya tha na they all are so excited to meet you ki abb usse koi attention hi nahi de raha haii."
"That's the issue Ahana. They don't know and they are expecting so much from me, I just don't know if I will ever be able to meet their expectations. What if I fail, what if they don't like me and don't want me as their bhabhi?"
"Vaani yaar, you will never disappoint anyone. They are expecting more and you are not one to fulfill all their expectations. Chill, my love."
Ahana came towards her and hugged her trying to assure her to her fullest.
"Okk, now help me get ready it's already 10. We have to leave by 11 am."
"Haa meri maa, abb chal Beth yaha pe meh makeup Karu Tera."
Ahana said and suddenly her eyes brimmed with tears.
"Ahana kya hua?" Vaani asked with concern.
"Kuch nahi yaar, we just came a long way. From getting you ready for your date to getting you ready for your roka and soon for your wedding." Saying this a line tear escaped from her eyes after listening to this Vaani also became a bit emotional.
"Haa yaar, we came a long way but still we both didn't change a bit and that's what matters, right?" Vaani said trying to assure her.
"Ha date k phela bhi freak out karti thi aur abb bhi tu freak out ho kar rahi haii." Ahana said mocking her.
After their little banter they both got ready quickly and left for the Rathore's place.
While on the other side at Rathore's home.
It feels like the house went on fire. Savita is scolding everyone to do their jobs accurately.
"Jay and Jahan, mena kaha tha woh sab cheezein leke aa gaye tum dono. Kuch bhi galat nahi hona chahiye, aaj phela baar meri hone waali Bahu aa rahi hai. Everything should be perfect."
She said with lot of hopes and tension in her eyes.
Rudra came down from his room hearing all the banter going on.
He sat next to his father and whispered,
"Aaj maa ko kya hua haii?"
"Uski Bahu aa rahi hai toh itni taiyaari kar rahi hai kya batau aur usko pata hai vaani ko bhot akela akela feel hota hai Singhania's k vaha. So, she just want to make sure ki usse yaha pe aesa feel na ho."
His father completed and Rudra realised that his family knows more than him. He was assured ki yeh log usse kabhi left out nahi feel hone dega.
"Ohh so isliye ye Tam jam ho raha haii." He reacted and before he can say anything further his mother shouted at him,
"Rudra, mena tujhe flowers lane ko bole the aur uske favourite snacks bhi, laya tu? Aur haa, Ashika aur Nisha ko bhi le ja aur jaake uske liya accha sa koi gift leka aana, HUMARI TARAF SE."
"Haa, sab ho jaega lekin gift k liye inn dono ko kyu le jana haii?"
"Kyuki tu bhul jaega aur tere pe mujhe bharosa nahi haii, meri bacchi ka itna bada din kharab nahi hona chahiye." His mother warned him.
"Huh, inki bacchi, jesa meri toh ye kuch lagti hi na ho." Rudra said under his breath.
"Chalo abb jao bhi sab apna apna kaam karo" his mom asked everyone and they left for the work assigned to them.
At Vaani's place,
"Yaar call your parents and ask them if they are going to come or not Varna waha jaake bhot embarrassment ho jaegi" Ahana asked Vaani to confirm once.
"Yaar, you know that meh nahi puch sakti hu, aur abb joh hoga woh dekha jaega. Abhi apan chalte hai aur unko agar khud ki izzat ki padi hogi toh aaega Varna mujhe koi matlab nahi hai."
Vaani said with the slightest of hurt in her voice.
At the Singhania mansion,
"Jaana hai ya nahi jaana hai? Kyuki agar nahi Jaa rahe hai toh apni kharab lagegi and I can't afford that." Vinod Said making her wife understand that they need to go.
"I don't want to come, jisko jaana hai woh Jaa sakta hai meh nahi aa rahi hu, uss ladki ki khushiyon se mujhe koi matlab nahi hai." Shloka announced.
"Theek hai toh mat aao tum phir Savita bhabhi ka phone aaye toh dekh lena."
Vinod said.
"Abb chalo sab gaadi nikalo sab jaa rahe hai isko yahi rhena do. Mujhe meri izzat jyada pyaari hai kisi bhi cheej se."
Saying this he left and everyone followed him and all of them left for Rathore's except Shloka.
(Time skip)
Singhania's reached the haveli and Rathore's came at entrance to welcome them
"Padhariya sa, hum log bas aap ka hi intezaar kar rahe the." Savita said with a big smile adoring her face.
"Aree, maaf kijiyega aap logo ko itna intezaar karvane k liye." Vinod said folding his hands and greeting them
Everyone greeted each other.
"Vinod bhaisa, humari saheli kaha haii." Savita asked with a curiosity.
"Abb, bhabhi apse kya hi chupaya aur vesa bhi aap toh janti hi hai apni saheli ko toh bas samaj jaiye......" Vinod said with a awkward, sad smile on his face.
Hearing him, everyone went silent as they all have the idea why shloka didn't arrived.
"Bhaisa, aap chinta na kare hum baat karte hai shloka se woh jarur aa jaegi." Savita assured him and went from there to talk to Savita.
"Hello?" Shloka said
"Hum Savita bol rahe hai, aur tum kyu nahi aayi. Apni beti k liye na sahi apni saheli k liye toh aa sakti ho na, hmm?" Savita asked
"Haa, aa toh sakti hu lekin apni saheli k liye sirf." Shloka said.
"Haa toh bas phir aa jao."
"Nahi Savita, meh nahi aa sakti, vaha pe Vaani bhi hogi aur uss ladki ko Khushi mile aesa koi kaam karne meh mujhe koi interest nahi hai."
"Shloka, meh toh tumhari saheli hu, aur mere ghar pe meri Bahu pheli baar aaegi shaadi se phela abb tum kya meri Khushi k liye bhi nahi aaogi?"
"Accha baba, thik hai. Tum humesa mujhe haar kaam k liye mana hi leti ho."
"Chalo meh intezaar kar rahi hu tumhara."
Saying this Savita ended the call.
After the call she went towards where everyone was sitting. By this time Vaani and Ahana also arrived and were about to come inside but the guard stopped them saying,
"Mam you can't come inside. I have to first call the Savita mam."
