Rhea stared at her daughter, while Thea kept staring at a point in the wall.
"I made them myself. I'm very good at making this kind of bombs"
Rhea worries grew bigger and bigger as the days passed. She hated that she couldn't do anything for her daughter. She tried to give her comfort and ease, but it didn't help her.
"Don't worry about Vaoç" she assured her daughter "I stepped up and I'm taking care of everything"
"Whatever, you're hiding something" he said with his eyes narrowed.
"Willow, Fern and Pan wanted to see you, but i told them that you needed time" she informed her "Take as long as you need, my dear. If someone wants to rush you, they'll have to go through me first"
She leaned over and kissed her forehead, staring at her green eyes with softness and love.
"A goddess believing in jinx? That's gotta be new" he mumbled with a chuckle.
"I have to do some things" she whispered to her "But I'm gonna be downstairs, if you need anything"
She kissed her forehead one more time and stood up, walking out of the room.
"See?! I told you!" Beckendorf laughed as they were running.
Thea's room fell into darkness once the door shut close. She didn't move from her place on the bed, barely noticing when her mother left, her mind still lost.
She felt numb and pain at the same time, her mind seeing every moment she spent with Beckendorf all at the same time.
"Mom! I told you!"
For just a moment, her mind remained on the present, focused only on one thought.
Her eyes started to water, the sadness coming back again, but she forced herself to be strong. She needed to be strong. She needed to do what Beckendorf would've wanted.
With all her willpower, she threw the sheets to a side, as her legs hanged from the bed, her feet on the ground.
She closed her eyes, a tear falling down, as she stood up from the bed in her pajamas. Her whole body started to glow with a white light, lightening all the room, and she vanished.

PERCY'S POV
I ran forward as the rotors spun to a stop. Rachel opened the side door and dragged out the pilot.
Rachel was still dressed like she was on vacation, in beach shorts, a T-shirt, and sandals. Her hair was tangled and her face was green from the helicopter ride.
Annabeth climbed out last.
"I didn't know you could fly a helicopter" I stared at her in awe.
"Neither did I" Annabeth said. "My dad's crazy into aviation. Plus, Daedalus had some notes on flying machines. I just took my best guess on the controls."
