20 comments for next part :)"Pass me the white one" Thea asked Sally, who handed her the white balloon.
Thea was in Percy's place for his birthday. Sally, Tyson, Oliver and her were in the living room blowing up party balloons, while Percy helped Paul in the kitchen.
"How long have you been together?" Sally asked the couple, her blue eyes darting between them.
"For about seven, eight months" Thea said, smiling at Oliver.
"We actually met in a cafe" Oliver explained to Sally and Tyson "Her sister, Cleo, and her went to grab breakfast and I was their waiter"
"Cleo?" Sally raised her eyebrow and glanced at Thea.
Thea widened her eyes but kept smiling, trying to tell her to play along. She wasn't ready for that talk with Oliver yet.
"The moment I laid eyes on her I was star-truck" he said, staring at Thea, his eyes full of love "I realized that I was looking at the most beautiful woman on earth. Then I got to know her, and I couldn't have fallen more in love"
Thea's blood rushed to her cheeks as she looked down to the floor, a shy smile on her face. She loved and hated when he said things like that, because they were so beautiful that she didn't know how to reply.
"That is so sweet, Oliver" Sally smiled at him "It's good to see that the love she gives is being returned"
"Beautiful Girl is the best!" Tyson exclaimed, a bright smile on his face.
"Yes, she is" Oliver said and frowned at him "Um, why... do you call her beautiful girl?"
"Cause she's pretty!"
"Huh" Oliver said, stretching a balloon on his hands.
Paul walked into the room and Percy stayed at the doorframe.
"Liz, could I talk with you?" He asked her, pointing to the kitchen.
"What's up, water boy?" She asked him once they were in the kitchen alone.
"Paul just asked me for my permission to marry my mom" he whispered to her, crossing his arms.
"What's?!" She asked in a low voice, smiling ear to ear "That's great! He's great for her, don't you think?"
"Yeah, I guess" he said shrugging "It's just...so weird. I mean, I don't have any problem with it! It's... weird that he will be my stepdad"
"Well, if you ask me, he's much better than your last stepdad" she said in a careful tone "He seems like the kind of dad that would show up to every school event, and support you and be there for you, all the time"
"Yeah...yeah, he seems like that" he nodded with a little smile.
"Now, let's go back to the party and enjoy your birthday" she told him, placing her arm around his shoulder.
Sally was placing the candles on the blue cake, Paul handing her the candles, when Thea felt something.
She felt a presence getting inside the building. It wasn't a dangerous person, but a powerful and familiar one.
"Shit!" She mumbled when she realized who it was. She turned to Oliver, who had an arm around her, and smiled sweetly at him "Ollie, hon, don't you wanna go the bathroom before?"
Oliver frowned at her and was about to refuse, when Thea went inside his head and changed his mind. She hated doing that to him, but she didn't have any choice.
