Jimmy’s pov:

After almost having a stroke because Scott needed a necklace, we got back into our makeshift bed and sat next to each other. I hugged my wing around him, the other around myself, and rested my head on his shoulder. He mumbled something I couldn't hear over the storm. “What was that?” I asked only met with silence. I turned to see him asleep. A smile spread across my face. After laying him down I shimmied into his arms. I rested my head against his chest. Even with the raging storm upstairs I felt completely safe by his side. Eventually I fell asleep as well.

The next morning I was met with a pleasant warmth. Did Scott turn the heater on? My eyes fluttered open to a white tank top. I slightly scooched away and looked up. Scott was still fast asleep, exhausted from the previous night. And then it hit me. I slept with scott. I turned to you. “Not that way! PG!” my face flushed bright red and I shot up. Scott groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes. “Oh, good morning Jimmy. '' I was brought back to reality about last night's events. “Should we go check the damages…?” Scott's expression hardened. He nodded. I stood up not a moment later helping scott up. He took my hand and breathed a shaky sigh. “Let's go.” We headed up the stairs. His house was in complete shambles. It was hardly recognizable. I looked around to see similar scenes.

Families on the ground crying, young adults on the phone with their parents, and people frantically looking for people in the rubble. I squeezed Scott's hand. “I have to help, will you be okay?” he nodded. “I’ll try to find anything salvageable.” I hugged him one last time and ran off to help others. Quickly I set up a nursing station. I split the adults who were uninjured into two groups. One to find people stuck under rubble and the other to stay with me helping those who were injured. I taught them how to treat certain wounds quickly. After I was sure they could take care of that I left with the other group to find people. I was determined to save as many people as I could.

Scott’s pov:

I stopped looking after a few minutes. Nothing was salvageable at this point. I joined the group of people helping the injured. Nobody was too badly hurt. That was until Jimmy hurriedly brought over a small child. His leg had been completely crushed under debris. I knew this child. Oh god… “Hermes!” his father was following quickly behind him, tears streaming down his face. “Sausage… go get some sticks, sturdy ones!” he followed, tearing his eyes away from his son. Jimmy laid him down in front of me. Hermes was barely awake. “This is gonna be cold okay.” I brought my hand to his knee, freezing right before where his leg got crushed. He flinched, a small whimper escaped. “You're doing great buddy.”

Sausage came back and handed me the sticks. I placed them on either side of hermes’ leg before wrapping them with bandages. Bubbles popped right next to Hermes, licking his face to give comfort. “Jimmy, stay with him for a moment. Sausage, a word within you” he followed me out of hermes hearing. “Sausage… it’s gonna have to get amputated.” he nodded, tears streaming down his face.

I pulled him into a tight hug. “It’ll be okay. He’ll adjust” he wiped his tears and returned to Hermes to comfort him. Eventually ambulances, firefighters, and police make it. Jimmy stayed a little longer to fill them in. After that they told him he could go. He returned to me. “Do you wanna stay at my place for now?” I looked back to the rubble that was once my house. “Yeah, I don't really have much of a choice.” I chuckled.

Jimmy’s pov:

Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to be met with Cuteguy and Hotguy. Cuteguy spoke up. “Hey sheriff. we’ll take it from here. You should get home and get some rest.” I nodded and turned to scott. “You ready.” Scott smiled and nodded. I opened my arms only for Scott to just stare at me confused. I rolled my eyes and picked him up. His arms shot around my neck, not wanting to fall. “We’re flying home?!” he exclaimed. I nodded. I jumped into the air, my wings opening and catching the wind. Eventually Scott got used to the feeling and the rest of the flight was smooth. I glided down to my house's porch. I gave Scott some space to settle into his room. I thought back to the necklace and then to his brother. I wonder what happened to him.
