Grian’s pov:

“G, get in here…!” I groaned, sitting up from my bed. I tossed my legs over the edge of the bed and stood up. Quickly, I made my way to the living room. Mumbo’s expression was sympathetic and worried. I raised an eyebrow only for him to point to the TV. An image of Jimmy popped up on the screen. “The sheriff, Jimmy solidarity 23 male has been announced missing, along with 83 government files. Some argue he’s a traitor and ran away with the files. Let's see what his deputy, Tango, has to say.” the camera switched over to an interviewer with Tango. “So what do you think about the rumors about the sheriff?” he scoffed. “I think it’s a simple coincidence. The sheriff would never do that! Instead of spreading rumors like highschoolers we should focus on finding him and getting him back safely.”  my legs were weak, he was missing. My legs gave out beneath me as I covered my mouth, muffling an inaudible gasp.

Mumbo instantly ran to my side, putting a comforting hand on my shoulder. “They’ll find him.” he was saying other things but I wasn't paying attention. Something in my gut told me something big was going to go down… I got up, ignoring Mumbo’s concerned calls, and locked myself in my room. I sat down at my desk and pulled out the papers he gave me on cleo’s case. For some reason my gut was telling me this would lead me to him.

I hastily flipped through the flies until a small envelope fell from the folder. I opened it curiously and pulled out a blank piece of paper. Why would there be a blank piece of paper? I ran my fingers over it and noticed weird patches of smoothness. The oldest trick in the book, invisible ink. I opened a drawer and pulled out a glowstick. It was a gift from Impulse saying something about if I ever went ghost hunting. I held it above the paper and low and behold there was a page full of words
