(3rd person)

The first night was interesting. They had to find a route away from the Hero’s so they didn’t get caught. Not to mention having to stick to alleyways and rooftops to get around. Skizz and Impulse practically glowed in the moonlight which wasn’t ideal. The dove had been quite excited for this and was rambling on about something to the redstoner. Impulse however, wasn’t listening. He was on high alert as they entered a more criminal populated area. “And so I tried to tell him, just ta-” Noamh was interrupted as he was tackled to the ground by the imp. A bullet whizzed past them, just barely grazing Red. “the hell are you half bloods doing on my turf?” someone spat, the slur bitter words on his tongue”

Skizz looked up to see a tall muscular man, a smoking gun in his hand and a cigarette in between his teeth. On his right shoulder was a tattoo that Impulse recognized. He was the leader of the Oyente gang, an anti-Hybrid group. Skizz quickly took in his surroundings. There were two possum hybrids tied up and sat against the wall, About 5 men with tattoos, and 3 of them had guns. With one swift move, SKizz took the sharp halo floating above his head and tossed it in the general direction. It bounced off the wall, disarmed two of the group and flew back to his head, returning to its original spot.

Another shot was fired at Red Piston by the leader. The imp moved swiftly, ducking and sprinting past him to the other two, waited and locked chains clutched around them in an instant. Skizz grabbed the wrist of the leader, bent it away from him, slammed him onto the cold concrete ground, and pressed his wrist into his back. Meanwhile Impulse had trapped the other 2 in a large glob of slime, making them imobile. They were both panting by the end of it, a mere 5 minutes felt a lot longer when you were in the action.

“Woo!” Skizz gave a powerful high five to impulse, almost sending him tumbling. The other man crouched down next to the captives, untying them. Apparently, someone had heard the gunshots and police were called. They rushed onto the scene, their guns pointed at the two vigilanties. They seemed slightly confused when they saw the gang members taken care of and the captives set free. Tango’s tail flicked with confusion as he raised his gun back to the two masked men. Impulse had the punch the smile off of Skizz when his face lit up at the sight of tango.

“Well, looks like you’ve gotten this taken care of, see ya!” “Wait!” but it was too late. Impulse shot his grappling hook into the sky and Skizz rocketed upwards, his large wing thrusting him into the air. He grabbed the edge of the hook and flew higher, taking Impulse with him as he did a small salute to the officers. After less than a minute they landed on a nearby roof. “Holy shit dude!” The pair was ecstatic about their success. Not only had their first mission gone successfully but they had also shut down an anti-hybrid gang.

“Did you see Top’s face?” Skizz snickered. Impulse couldn’t help but laugh. Maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
