[Simone]

"Yes, it does."

Brian leaned in to kiss me once more. This time, the kiss carried with it a sense of certainty and reassurance, washing away any lingering doubts or fears. It was a relief to feel such comfort in his embrace, and I found myself drawn even closer to him. I like it this way more.

Yet, despite the overwhelming emotions that coursed through us both, Brian remained momentarily speechless after our kiss, his eyes locked with mine as if searching for the right words to express what he was feeling.

"Brian?" I murmured, a pang of concern tugging at my heart.

"You beautiful, beautiful woman," he exclaimed, cupping my face in his hands and pressing soft kisses to my cheeks with playful aggression. "Why... do you always... do this to me?" Each word was punctuated by a gentle kiss, and I couldn't help but laugh at his playful antics.

"I'm sorry, love," I chuckled, burying my face in his chest. "I just don't want to make the wrong move with you."

"Was doing that the wrong move, then?" he teased, his fingers dancing lightly over my waist, eliciting another round of giggles from me.

"No!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my laughter.

"Are you absolutely certain you want me to be your boyfriend?" Brian asked, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

"Yes!" I replied, still giggling as I held my belly.

"Oh, my goodness, Simone," he sighed, his tone filled with affection. "I understand that this is some developed response to the things that happened to you in the past. And you make me so incredibly happy, don't get me wrong. But you give me small deaths each time possible." His words were followed by another sweet kiss, leaving me feeling giddy with an overwhelming sense of joy.

"Do you want me to take it back?" I teased, a smile playing at the corners of my lips.

"Absolutely not," Brian replied, his laughter mingling with mine. In that moment, I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I couldn't get enough of him, and I couldn't believe he was now officially my boyfriend.

He held me close, my arms draped around his shoulders as he carried me to his bed, gently setting me down on the edge.

"Quite a night, isn't it?" I giggled, feeling the thrill of the moment.

"I'm beginning to think you're doing all this for the thrill of it," he joked, strolling over to his shelves.

"I'm not," I chuckled.

"I know, love," he reassured me with a tender smile. "I'll miss this place when we leave," his fingers gliding over the spines of his books. "So many good things have happened here in just a few days, haven't they?"

"That's true," I concurred, allowing my gaze to wander around the room, taking in the sense of order and tranquility it exuded. Being here felt like a breath of fresh air. It was a stark contrast to the chaos that often reigned in my own space. While I prided myself on not being messy per se, there were moments when life simply got in the way of keeping things neat and organised. Brian, on the other hand, seemed to have mastered the art of tidiness effortlessly. His room spoke volumes about his character, a testament to his disciplined nature.

But similarly with other lads I've encountered, Brian's space bore the unmistakable signs of his nerdy tendencies, with books, posters, and memorabilia adorning the shelves and walls. Yet, there was a sense of warmth and familiarity that permeated the room, making it feel like home. It was clear that Brian had poured his heart and soul into creating a space that reflected his unique personality, and I couldn't help but feel drawn to him even more.
