29: birthday

Violet POV

Today is Blue's birthday. Last week was a very emotional ride. Our relationship has never been better! I opened up about my past to him and since then he has shown me admiration. He keeps calling me his brave-girl, which is low key cringe.

Blue is busy apparently today. He has some work in Darthmont and so do I in Sapindales. We have this tragic advertising firm which wants us to make some pamphlets for them. I mean- come on!

Anyways, I must not complain about my dream job- huh. I also started editing a novel I had written in 11th grade, perhaps by the time Im 25 I can have a book done with.

For Blue's birthday today I have zero plans. I do have a very special birthday present for him- hehe. Wait till he sees it!

I send Blue a text wishing him a happy birthday even though we face-timed at midnight and talked again in the morning. After texting him I open my cabinet and skim through all the required paperwork for his birthday gift - done done done and done.

A huge grin sets on my face. I cant wait to give Blue- probably the best gift he will ever give.

The things you do for love- huh.

I get dressed, talk to Aunt Arma over the phone, pack my bag and leave for work.

It's 7PM and I am anxiously waiting for Blue to come home. We decided to celebrate at my place as he did not want to bother his maid- servants at his. For some reason Blue has always liked hanging out here...he says my house feels more real. I have been to his house 7-8 times only and his house is very very lux.

Blue says he only spends his nights there. He does not even brush his teeth in his house because it seems to fancy. In short he kinda hates his big house.

*tenants cry in the corner*

The doorbell rings and I grab the little chocolate cake I made him with a single candle on top. I open the door with one hand and start singing "Happy Birt-"

Wait where is Blue? And what the hell is Drew David doing here?!

"Drew!" I shriek. Drew starts laughing

"Blue knows Im here. I went to his office to surprise him on his birthday" he chuckles. I feel dumb. I lit that candle up for no reason.

"When is Blue coming? And wait where is David?" I ask.

"Blue is parking the car and David is in Hawaii....I decided to fly in here to wish Blue. David couldn't make it...had some work" Drew says while he makes himself comfortable in the sofa.

Ding dong.

This has to be Blue! I get up and light a new candle. Drew opens the door and this time we both sing in harmony "Happy birthday dear Blue happy birthday to you"

Blue blows the candle..his simple accentuates his beautiful dimples. He takes the top of the chocolate cream and feeds me some.

Blue enters the room and sits on the sofa, Drew sits next to him and opens up the present he got for Blue. It's in a tiny black box.

Blue opens the wrapper and almost gasps at the gift. Its a car, to an Audi. Drew gifted Blue a car. Oh my god.

"Oh my god my gift is so lame" I say shyly.

"Girl shut up. Blue paid for this last year but I took it from him...Im just lending it back" Drew says.

"Aw how cute" I remark sarcastically.

"Thank you Drew. I appreciate it." Blue says to Drew and then the both of them look at me with curiosity.

I start giggling. Hell Blue you are going to love this.

"Over the past few months me and Suzy have become quite close" I start off. "Rebecca me and Suzy started something called- apartment hunting."

Just with that Blue's lips turn into a wide grin and he hugs me tightly and spins me around the room.

"And I decided I want to be a realtor!" I yell and giggle. Blue places me down and keeps his hands on my hips. He looks into my eyes with a serious face.

"You kidding me?" he spits. I laugh my heart out - all the while Drew enjoys the drama unfold.

"Im asking you to live with me...its not as lavish as your house but its a cute lil apartment that I can afford paying rent to on a 50-50"

Blue nods his head in approval. "I understand that you want to live someplace you have a share in...so I delightfully agree to this amazing gift" he says and puts his lips on mine.

With that, the 3 of us drive to our soon-to-be apartment in Blue's Audi.

The apartment is a true beauty. The living room over looks almost the entirety of Manhattan. There is a big open plan kitchen which opens up to a narrow hallway. The hallway has a big full length window at the back and has 2 doors which open up to the 2 bedrooms.

Blue has the widest grin on him as he pulls me in and hugs me. I go to my bag and open up the agreement files.

"Happy birthday hon" I whisper into his ears. He looks down at the folder which reads - *live with me?* in black ink on the cover.

Drew draws out a whistle as Blue pulls me in for a deep kiss.

"I love you" I manage to whisper while he kisses my everywhere. "I love you" Blue lets me out and shouts.

"Get a room you filthy teens" Drew remarks.

I cant wait to shift in with Blue. To live everyday with him, around him. To know that we'll be calling a place home. Even though Blue is my home, we both will now have a place to always come back to.

I love the man in front of me who is messing with Drew's shirt. Blue looks happy and perfect. Looking back, I have grown so much. From being obsessive over Sam to loving someone else. I dont think you can just unlove someone. I know I will never stop loving Blue. Even if we dont make it at the end, I will always love him.

Love is that fierce force.

Drew bids the both of us goodbye and leaves after dinner.

I call Aunt Arma and tell her everything once I reach home.
