My leg bounces as I bite the tip of my pencil between my teeth

My leg bounces as I bite the tip of my pencil between my teeth. I chew one it slightly as my eyes stay trained on Josh as he writes on the whiteboard.

My mouth waters with each movement of his wrist, tensing his forearm which is exposed by his rolled up grey shirt.

He turns to address the class and I feel myself hold my breath slightly as I stare into his focussed, bright blue eyes.

Fuck, I can't believe I am going on a date with this man.

He meets my eyes for a second before redirecting to the rest of the class.

I feel my core tighten at the secrecy of it all.

The stolen glances.

Just as he sits down at his desk after giving us a task to do, there is a sharp knock at the classroom door.

Zander strides in, a glint in his eye as he shares a look with Josh, before they both look to me. I blush slightly, looking down at my work.

I'm still not used to them staring at me.

"Miss Owens, Mr Lockwood requests your presence, so you are excused," Josh says to me across the classroom in a professional voice.

I stand up as everyone stares at me, quickly throwing my bag on my shoulder and walking out, my head low.

"Someone's in trouble," a girl whispers as I walk past her and a blush spreads across my lips.

I close the classroom door behind me and follow Zander to his office. He does not say anything as we walk, taking large strides in front of me that have me almost running to catch up.

As soon as he shuts his office door behind us, I am pressed against it.

"God I missed you, beautiful," he smirks against my ear, causing a shiver to radiate through me.

"You saw me yesterday," I giggle slightly as he places soft kisses on my neck. I moan as he hits one point and he pushes my hair behind my shoulder.

"I guess I'm addicted then, because that one taste has had me non-stop thinking about you," he looks me dead in the eyes. My face grows bright red as he stares seriously into my eyes.

"Are you interfering with my education for a kiss?" I ask him, overly tilting my head in confusion.

"I can teach you instead, darling," he winks at me and I roll my eyes at his insinuation.

"Shush," I reprimand him jokingly and push him away from me.

Walking round to his side of the desk, I sit in his chair, making it obvious I'm making myself comfortable.

"Oh you think so, do you?" he raises an eyebrow at me. I nod, a cheeky smile spreading across my face. It falters slightly as he starts to walk towards me, taking slow and calculated steps.

I extend my leg, trying to stop him from moving any closer but he grabs my ankle, pulling my leg up to rest on his shoulder as he leans over me.

Thank god I'm flexible.

He places both of his hands on either side of the chair so I am blocked in completely by his body.

I gulp as his brooding eyes bore into mine.

"Remember who's in charge here, baby," he mutters lowly and I suppress a shiver.

"It is your school," I respond sarcastically, gesturing around the room with my finger.

"Oh so you want to be a brat today, huh?" he tilts his head and my eyes widen as his grow dark.

"I-I have class, you know," I stutter, causing him to smirk.

Luckily, the school bell rings before I can answer.

He steps back, holding out his hand for me to take. He pulls me out of the chair with such force that I fall into his chest, where he places a kiss on my head before releasing me.

I brush through my hair with my fingers before grabbing my bag again and leaving the room.

Heading out to the bleachers, I work on calming my breathing. The fresh air soothes my burning skin after being in such an enclosed space with Zander.

I see Mellissa sitting on a bench as the cheerleaders warm up.

"Hey, miss girl," I greet her as I sit next to her.

"Hey!" she throws her arms round me dramatically and I laugh at her enthusiasm.

"I have so much to tell you," she continues and I furrow my eyebrows at her, intrigued.

"HE ASKED ME OUT," she screams in my ear and I flinch before a wide smile spreads across my face.

"Jayden?" I confirm and she nods excitedly.

"We're going out next Friday," she fills me in on her plans and my neck starts to ache from nodding to her rambling.

I am excited for her but it hurts me slightly to know I can't tell her about my date with Josh tonight.

Luckily, by the time cheer practice starts, Mellissa is so engrossed in telling off Zoe that I easily manage to slip away.

Knowing Josh is going to pick me up near my house at 7, I head home. I rush up the stairs once I am through my front door, heading into my bathroom and turning on the shower.

It takes me few minutes to cover my cast to protect it from the water.

As I step into the shower, I shiver at the cold water and turn the dial hotter. Once it reaches a warm enough temperature, I close my eyes, leaning my head back in the heavy stream.

I let out a heavy sigh as my muscles start to relax under the warmth.

After clumsily washing my hair, I step out and wrap a towel round me before heading into my room to pick out an outfit.

Opting for a pair of white mom jeans and a black bandeau, I put them on before brushing out my hair and starting to dry it. Once dried, I style it into a half up ponytail with a white bow covering the hair-tie.

Heading back into the bathroom, I apply makeup, starting with foundation and moving onto bronzer and blush.

By the time I have finished, I have added a small eyeliner wing and pink lip gloss.

I grab my pair of black sandals before leaving my room and heading out of the door.

I walk to the spot Josh has told me he is at and I open the door to his car.

Deep breath in.
