"Well look who finally decided to join us!" Grassy shouts as he flips a pancake in the air. Levi grins shyly as she walks into the kitchen, wringing her hands together nervously, then stands on the other side of the hob across from Grassy as she hugs one arm to her body. Austin is leaning on the kitchen cabinet across the kitchen sipping his coffee and actively trying not to stare at her. It's a fucking challenge. There is just something poetic about a woman in a man's shirt. Something poetic in Levi specifically being in his shirt. He could write a song about it.

Levi's eyes flick to him quickly before she looks back at Grassy and watches him flick another pancake in the air. "You wanna try? It's fun," Grwssy asks her. "No," she signs shaking her head, "I will mess them up," she adds. "There is nothing wrong in messing up. You just try, try and try again until you get it right. Never give up, Levi. Never!" he says and throws another one in the air. Levi watches him with a bright smile and then shrugs. "OK, let me try. But, don't be mad when I get it stuck on the ceiling," she signs and walks around the kitchen island.

Austin pushes off the kitchen cabinet abruptly and turns to face the patio door as he takes another sip of his coffee. That shirt of his is oversized on her, it goes midway down her thighs - but, fucking hell, it's too much for him. "Levi, I could never be mad at you. Your nose is just too cute to be mad at, boop," Grassy says as Austin looks over his shoulder just in time to see Grassy bopping the tip of Levi's nose with the spatula. She laughs silently and shoos his hand away. Austin looks back out the patio doors as he sips his coffee once again, listening to Grassy encourage and then cheer Levi on. If Grassy's excitement is anything to go on, Levi is the best dam pancake flipper in the world. "Way to go tiger! Austin look!" Grassy shouts with the type of excitement that would be condescending coming from anyone else, but Grassy is always genuine even when it is just to celebrate a flipped pancake.

Austin musters up all his courage and turns around. Levi is standing in front of him, her eyes dancing and her grin wide, she is as proud as punch as she holds the pan with both hands and a sunny smile so Austin can see her perfectly flipped pancake. His shirt has ridden up slightly on her thighs and Austin knows he could not even fantasize about a moment as beautiful as this. "Beautiful," he signs. Levi cocks her head and looks at him with a curious smirk. "You signed beautiful, silly Lilly," Grassy says with a laugh. Austin knows exactly what he signed. "Sorry, I meant perfect," Austin signs.

"Now we stuff these babies with whipped cream and a selection of berries or chocolate chips if you are a heathen like Austin," Grassy signs. Levi holds the pancake in her pan out to Austin. "You giving me the one you made?" Austin signs. Levi nods and giggles when Austin picks it up from the pan and flops it onto a plate then loads it with cream and chocolate chips. "Best pancake I have ever had," Austin signs as he shoves it into his mouth. "Don't sign with your mouth full," Grassy signs and throws a strawberry at him while Levi giggles again.

After breakfast, Austin heads back to his bedroom and takes a quick shower while Grass and Levi head off into their room to get dressed too so they can head back to the studio. Once he is showered and dressed he takes a quick shot of whiskey because his hands have the shakes for some reason and the whiskey gets rid of it. He goes to place it back under the pillow but then thinks better of it, where is the harm in slipping it into his waistband? He will only take a sip if he really needs it.

It takes another solid three days of recording in the studio and Levi is a pain in his ass with her obsessive need to get the songs perfect while Dre bends to her every whim and makes Austin repeat the recording over and over until Levi is satisfied. But, Austin is not complaining. How can he complain? The woman is as invested in his music as he is and finally, by late Friday night Dre announces that the thirty songs  Austin and Levi had written are album-ready. Austin does not care which songs the label will approve of for the album because he loves them all.
