"Being on tour is so weird," Levi signs. Austin nods and smiles at her. "I agree," he signs then picks up his burger and takes a big bite. "Wait, what do you mean by that?" he says with his mouth full of hamburger. Levi stares at him with a frown. "What?" he asks licking burger sauce off his hands before he takes a sip of his drink. "Austin. I am deaf. When you talk with food shoved into your mouth I can not understand what you are saying...and you eat like an angry bear," she signs then picks up her burger and takes a bite. It's a dainty bite and not an ounce of sauce drips out. He doesn't think he has ever seen anyone eat as well-mannered as she does, she is very ladylike. But, she is like that with everything, walking, signing, sleeping - elegant is what he would class her as.

"Sometimes I forget you are deaf," he signs then starts laughing when he accidentally flicks a blob of burger sauce onto her cheek from his fingers, her eyes go wide and her mouth falls open. "Clean it off, you mess of a man," she signs. Austin grins and leans forward, licking it off with his tongue. "I should dip you in burger sauce, you make it taste better somehow," he signs still grinning at her. She turns her head away from him and wipes her cheek while she tries to hide her smile and pink cheeks. "What did you mean by touring is weird?" he signs after tapping her shoulder to make her look at him. He gets burger sauce on her shoulder, but he won't tell her that. "We are currently sitting in the middle of a large stadium eating takeouts behind a big bus while there are thousands of people on the other side of that huge wall all sleeping in a line. It's weird the things humans do for fun," she signs.

"This was supposed to be romantic, not fun. I feel like you are not appreciating my efforts here. I got a candle," Austin signs. They both look at the plastic tealight candle with the fake flame he had found in a nicknack shop next to the burger place. "I think the battery has run out," she signs. "It just needs a little tap that's all," Austin signs then flicks it as they both stare at it. The flame starts to flicker again for two seconds before it dies completely. "We don't need the candle, we have the stars, sweet," Austin signs looking up and then sighing, things are just not working out for him, there is not one star in that dam sky. "Couldn't help a guy out here?" he says to the heavens.

He feels Levi climbing onto him and sitting in a straddle, when he looks at her she is smiling and her eyes look like they are dancing. She looks so happy. "I think you have done a great job. Knowing how busy you are, it means a lot that you took the time to do something special for me even if it's just to bring me to the back of the bus and sit me on the tarmac next to the exhaust pipe. It makes me feel special. It gives me butterflies. You give me butterflies," she signs then wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him. Levi is easy to please he found out this last week. All she needs is a smile or, a wink, a kiss hello and a kiss goodbye. She is happy with just a cuddle and Austin feels like loving her takes no effort at all - it's easy, natural. She is also always happy, she doesn't moan or whine that he can't spend a lot of time with her and often when he does it is disturbed by someone needing something or rushing to the next event, next show, or next interview. The only time they really get alone is when they slip into their room at the back of the bus. Austin looks forward to those moments, but also they are painful. Very painful. Levi was serious about going slow and Austin has ruined more pants than he ever did as a raging hormonal teenager.

What Austin has also learnt about Levi is her independence. She is not clingy, or needy, or jealous and possessive. She is pretty confident and Austin doesn't know why but he finds it sexy as fuck. Having Levi around is easy and they grow closer every day, and more sure of their relationship.

He feels Levi shiver in the cool breeze so he breaks the kiss. "You cold? Want to go inside?" he signs. "No, it's so beautiful out here," Levi signs shaking her head as he grins at her. She's the best girlfriend a guy could ask for. "I appreciate you humouring my shitty attempt at romance, but we are sitting directly in front of an exhaust pipe."
