The months that pass are not easy. Some days are happy and carefree. But, some days he just misses his buddy and the call to the bottle catches him off guard, it's hard, but he doesn't reach for that bottle and he tackles his pain head-on. He has too many people he is not prepared to let down, they count on him and that means more than all the amber liquid in the world.
All Levi's things arrive from LA and they spend time negotiating and mixing their things, soon it feels normal and like life was always meant to be this way. When the couch arrives they have their first full-blown fight as a married couple. Austin wants that couch in his studio, but Levi won't budge, she wants it in hers and because Timmy is bigger than Austin he is outnumbered two to one. It lands up with them both storming off in a huff. But, later they make up on the couch, three times. The couch lands up in Levi's studio and she childishly tears up the custody agreement Austin draws up. This only leads to them storming off in a huff again and then, again, making up on the couch. Austin thinks the couch saga will be a sore point for years to come. She claims it's hers because she bought it, but Austin fell in love with on it which trumps any monetary value. It is his couch and she has stolen it. He also does not appreciate that when he points that out her only answer is to tell him she stole his heart too. It's true, but it does not help his argument.
They also start writing Austin's fifth album. With his head busy in the studio and Dre starting to throw tour and appearance dates at him, it helps his mind not wonder to what he lost in Grassy or his father. But, when it does Levi is always there. He misses them and wishes with his whole heart they were with him, but he doesn't take for granted the people he has around him now. They are all amazing and bring so much light to his life. He has kept the ranch he had bought Grassy and after speaking with Levi they decide to hire someone to run it until Max is old enough and then they will give it to him. He knows that's what Grassy would have wanted and Max confirms they did indeed talk about being cowboys - Max intends on growing up to be a cowboy. He already keeps Grassy's Stetson firmly on his head.
Aside from Levi's stubbornness around his couch, being married to her and sharing a home with her is a dream. It was so easy to get into a natural flow and now Austin can't imagine life without sharing a home with her. Her soft sweet scent drifts around the house constantly, he gets gravy and amazing food every night and his bed is a fluffy marshmallow he has to force himself to climb out of every morning. Levi also keeps a steady flow of orange roses around the house that she picks almost every evening from her large rose garden while Austin tells her every detail and emotion he experienced throughout his day. Levi is lucky she is deaf or she would have become deaf by his now constant chattering, but she never stops him, rather she rolls her eyes and laughs silently. Sometimes he loses her in the big house and spends ages looking for her, there is a downside to having a deaf wife, you can't call out to her. Austin suggested once that he will tie a bell around her neck to stop from losing her - he got banned from his couch for a week so he didn't suggest that again.
Their home is also always full of family and friends, it's a stark difference to how life used to be and Austin still can't wrap his head around how long he let that shit show of the past go on for. Especially on lazy Sunday afternoons when the pool and patio come alive with laughing kids and content adults while they BBQ and drink soda - no alcohol. This home is designed to suit Levi's world but it's designed to suit his too.
It's home.

"So...we are done?" Levi signs. "Done and dusted, baby. The album is all recorded and set to release in just a few weeks. Tour dates are set, and new contracts are signed. It's all set out," Austin says as they lounge on his couch in her studio.
"What do we do now?"
"When is your next client booked for?"
"Not for another three weeks. I am going up to stay with Colter for the first month of your tour...you alright with that?"
