cordelia's phone began ringing profusely, upon studying it she realised it was her mother and she assumed her father too. she picked it up, holding it to her ear before quickly leaving her dorm. it was time for her night stroll, and figured why not take her parents along?

"hi flower." her mother's calm voice spoke.

"hi mum," she heard a small gasp, chuckling she spoke again. "hi dad."

"hi bambi." he replied, cordelia smiled at the nickname. her father has always called her bambi, meaning child.

"how are you guys?"

"we're doing well. we heard from belle about your new school mates." rapunzel replied, a slight hint of hesitance in her voice.

"they're all really cool, very mysterious, closed books really. they're just misjudged because of their parents." cordelia rambled, trying to prove her point. which she knew wouldn't take much her parents were like her, open minded.

"we know bambs, we trust you and your judgement." her father told her, she smiled and looked around, spotting the familiar purple hair followed by jay's long hair rushing through the halls.

"uh, i have to go. but i promise i'll call you guys back," cordelia told them. "i love you."

"love you bambi."

"i love you flower, don't stay up too late."

"i won't, i promise." she chuckled, lowering the phone from her ear and hanging up.

looking once more around the halls before spotting bright blue and white hair darting through the dark halls. she heard small muttering, following the voices she found them all by the main door to the dorms.

cordelia walked towards them, her mind wondering with thousands of possibilities to why they could be out. "hey guys, going for a late night stroll?" she questioned, the four of them jumped around to face her.

"oh hey cords, right?" mal asked, a smile lingering on her face.

"yeah?" cordelia responded, hesitance evident in her voice. "where you all off too? curfew ends in thirty minutes."

"just a late night stroll, right carlos?" jay smiled, patting his friends back causing him to fall a little forward.

"uh, yeah, yeah." carlos nodded, memorised by her bright green eyes. which didn't go unnoticed, his friend besides him taking a mental note to annoy him about it later.

"good, cause you'd hate to get into trouble first night. right?" cordelia smiled, turning on her heel before making her way back towards her dorm.

"guys, should we really be doing this?" carlos asked, turning to his friends.

"you just don't want to upset your goody goody girlfriend." jay snickered, remembering how his friends face lit up when the blonde walked in.

"do we really want to get into trouble our first night, maybe this is more a second or third day event?" at this point, he was begging for them to agree so he could go back.

he didn't want to even think of how upset cordelia would be if she found out they had all gotten into deep trouble. she and ben were taking a chance on them, and were giving them a huge opportunity no one else was offered. not to mention they were about to pull a despicable crime, that would get them banished for life.

"come on, let's go." mal scoffed, grabbing evie's hand and pulling her towards the door.

"come on carlos." jay patted his back and began walking after the girls, carlos sighed before following his friends.
