cordelia walked with her head on carlos's shoulder, his arm wrapped around her waist as they walked sleepily down the hallway towards cordelia's dorm room. once they finally made it, cordelia opened the door and belly flopped onto the bed.
"tonight was awesome!" cordelia rolled around so her back was on the mattress. she jumped up and sat up right, looking at carlos. "did you see mal! she was a dragon!" carlos chuckled, trying to figure out where this energy was just mere moments ago when she was using him to stay upright.
"yeah, she was a dragon." he nodded along tiredly, unlike cordelia he had used every ounce of energy he had left dancing and partying. the white haired boy began searching the room for his sweatpants he had left in her room just nights before.
"i wish i could be a dragon." cordelia pouted. "wouldn't that be cool!? what animal do you think i would be? wait no! you would be a cute little puppy, one of the little fluffy ones." she rambled on, she was exhausted and was now rambling on about everything and anything.
carlos laughed, while taking off his suit jacket and changing into his sweatpants. "i think your exhausted."
"no i feel energy." she smiled, he came over and helped pull her up so she was standing on her feet.
"you feel energy? i think you just proved my point, love" he laughed, shaking his head a little. cordelia nodded eagerly, digging around in her drawers for some pyjama shorts and a hoodie, messily folding her dress and placing it on top of her dresser. the blonde changed while carlos got into bed, almost falling asleep when his face hits the pillow but he couldn't sleep, not without cordelia.
she slipped in next to him, feeling her exhaustion hit. carlos wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer into his chest. "thank you for tonight, i had the best time." cordelia spoke softly.
"thank you for coming with me." carlos smiled, placing a kiss on cordelia's forehead. she smiled, her heart feeling so warm and full being wrapped in his arms.
"i changed my mind, i don't want to be a dragon anymore."

carlos stirred in his sleep, his freckled arms searching the other side of the bed for his favourite blonde girl but there was no sight of her. he pulled himself up and sat against the headboard, allowing himself a few more seconds to wake up.
it had been a few months since the whole uma, mal, dragon, cotillion situation and everything had been going perfectly. in these past few months, carlos and cordelia had just grown closer there was nothing that could ever pull them apart. they had moved out of the dorms and were living in one of the small apartment like houses that auradon had to offer, right by evie's starter castle.
"cordie?" carlos called out, his morning voice hoarse. when he got no response, he pulled off the covers. he got up officially, his eyes searching the room for cordelia and her blonde hair.
"in here!" her chirper voice called out from the kitchen. carlos practically ran into the kitchen when he heard her voice. "good morning, sleeping beauty." she chuckled, carlos went up from behind cordelia and wrapped his freckled arms around her, resting his head on her shoulder.
he closed his eyes, humming a little embracing the moment, taking in the familiar scent of her vanilla shampoo. "still waking up?" cordelia chuckled, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"mhm." he opened his eyes, his brown ones staring into her bright green ones. carlos smiled, placing a kiss on her soft lips. they both smiled and melted into the kiss. "i'm awake now."
cordelia smiled, taking notice of how he had in fact, no shirt on. the blonde put a hand on his chest. "i'm really liking this." she spoke cheekily.
"yeah?" carlos chuckled, feeling himself growing redder by the second.
"yeah." she nodded, running a hand through his long hair, that was all tangled and twisted. "and i really like whatever's going on here." she chuckled, laughing softly at the state of his bed head. his long white hair, sticking up in every and any direction. "are you excited? today's the day."
"i am so excited." he smiled. "are you excited?"
cordelia smiled. "i am so excited!" she was so unbelievably happy, the new vk's were coming to auradon and ben was going to propose to mal. today was going to be such a big, exciting day. "i can't wait to meet them all and to see ben propose to mal."
"today is going to be amazing!" carlos cheered.
