carlos and the other vk's walked out of the classroom with hot heads, irritated by their parents and what they had to say. "M? what do you think our parents are gonna do to us. if we don't pull this off?" evie asked, as they entered the hallways.

"i think they will be quietly disappointed in us, but ultimately... proud of us for doing our best." mal smiled, adjusting her handbag over her shoulder.

"really?!" carlos gasped.

"no. i think we are definitely goners." mal nodded, as they all agreed in perfect harmony.

"yeah." evie muttered. "well, mal and i have plans. we will see you guys later." she smiled, both her and mal waving before walking away.

"yeah, i have to go too. coach wanted to talk to me about yesterday's game." jay spoke. "might want to go find your friend." he winked before walking off.

"hey carlos!" cordelia smiled, rushing through the crowd of people and straight to carlos.

"oh. uh. hey cordie."

"are you okay?"

"i just stood up to my mother." he spoke, in a monotone voice. "i just stood up to my mother? am i crazy cords?" carlos turned to face cordelia, grabbing her shoulders making her jump .

"you are most certainly not crazy carlos." she chuckled, taking his hand and rubbing her thumb long the back of it.

"promise?" he looked at her with wide eyes.

"i pinky promise." cordelia smiled with a nod. "was it about family day? sorry! you don't have to answer that."

"fairy godmother set up a call with our parents. i guess she thought it would be a good idea." carlos shrugged. "better than them showing up."

it was parent's day, the day cordelia had been waiting for all year. she couldn't wait to finally see her mum and dad. she had just finished getting ready and was making her way down to the courtyard. almost bursting at the seems with excitement as she awaited seeing her parents for the first time in months.

"flower?" she whipped her head around to see her mum, standing with her father.

"mum?!" cordelia gasped, running over and giving her mum a tight hug before turning to her dad. "hi dad!" she smiled, giving him a tight hug. "how have you two been!?"

"we've been amazing, flower." her mother smile, pulling her daughter in for another hug and running a hand through her long hair. cordelia smiled, embracing her mothers warm touch. "how have you been?"

cordelia moved her head and managed to spot carlos, along with the other vk's. he sent her a kind smile which she returned with a small wave, her eyes not leaving the white headed boy as she spoke. "oh, uh. i've been good, very good."

"how have your classes been, keeping up those good grades i hope bambi?" her father spoke, his usual fun tone a little more stern. he was usually a little on the tougher side when it came to grades, considering his start to adult hood he wants nothing but to set his bright daughter up for success.

"yes, dad. just got my chemistry test back, A+" she smiled, her dad just pulling her in for another hug. "how's grandma and grandpa doing?"

"they're doing very well flower, they send their regards and told me to tell you they both miss you very much." rapunzel spoke, brushing back a little of cordelia's hair to place a soft kiss on her forehead.

"ma cherie mademoiselle, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. and now, we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents, your dinner!" ben announced.
