carlos and cordelia stood close on the balcony, watching as the church filled up with people the excitement and anticipation filling the air. cordelia let out a small laugh, looking over at carlos who was taking in the elegant church.
"sometimes i can't get over how people used to build such beautiful places like these." cordelia said, joining carlos in admiring the cathedral and all of it's features.
"i'm sorry i didn't ask you to the coronation sooner." carlos muttered quietly, moving his gaze from the lighting fixtures to the blonde girl next to him.
"it's okay carlos." cordelia chuckled, turning on her heel and facing the white headed boy. "i'm just happy you did." she leant forward and placed a kiss on carlos's cheek.
he blushed before turning to face her. "i was just nervous because, well... your you and i'm me."
"oh, carlos." her green eyes softened. "don't say that. of course i'd go with you, i wouldn't want to go with anyone else. i promise, pinky promise." she held out her pinky and carlos linked his with hers.
carlos smiled, turning back to look down on the floor. he took a shaky breath, before wrapping his arm around cordelia's waist holding her close to his side. the blonde girl blushed, embracing his grasp and leaning into his side.
meanwhile, on the isle of the lost. maleficent, the evil queen, jafar and cruella were all watching the coronation live on the television that sat in front of them. while they all stayed sitting close on the small black leather couch.
"at last, here we are broadcasting live from the coronation where prince benjamin will soon be crowned king! i'm snow white, bringing you up to the second coverage of who's fairest of them all." the reported said.
the evil queen took a handful of her popcorn and threw it towards the tv. "i'm snow white.' who are you kidding? she's definitely had work done." she spoke bitterly as the screen changed some snow white to the fairy godmother, approaching the dais towards her sparkling wand.
"oh, fairy godmother is looking radiant but what is happening with jane's hair?" snow white said. "and there is fairy godmother's wand."
the four villains watched closely as the fairy godmother uncovered the jar, revealing her sparkling wand. maleficant slowly rose from her seat and went closer towards the television. "i want that wand!"
"do you?" cruella snickered, maleficent sending a rather nasty glare over at her. "hadn't heard."
"oh, and here comes ben now!" snow white cheered, moving to the side allowing for the camera to pan over to ben and mal.
the four villains watched as ben and mal rode in the carriage down to the church. "well, if it isn't.." the evil queen started.
"..my daughter. looking like some kind of.." maleficent said, shocked moving closer to the screen.
"princess! now let's see who this beauty is wearing. evie." snow white said, the camera going over to mal.
"evie! that's my dau.. evie!" the evil queen gasped, pointing to the screen.
"someone named evie, designed her gown." snow white's voice said from the tv.
"oh, wow. she sewed a dress." maleficent snickered. "meanwhile, my girl duped a prince and she's this close to grabbing the magic wand."
"bitter, party of one. bitter, party of one." evil queen scoffed, the other two villains laughing.
maleficent clapped, jumping up off of the couch. "it's happening, people!" she began running around the room. "i say, gird your loins! gird your loins! villains, our revenge begins today!"
the villains all laughed maliciously and clapped, thinking everything was falling right into place. carlos, cordelia, jay and evie all watched from the balcony as belle and adam rose from their thrones as ben walked down the aisle, with his head held high.
jay, evie and carlos all exchanged nervous looks. they knew what was about to happen but their hearts didn't want that.
people began to bow as ben approached the front. cordelia turned to her friends with a wide smile, she couldn't believe her best friend was becoming a king. her friends all smiled back, trying to hide the worried look in their eyes.
ben and mal exchanged a smile before finally reaching the front of the large room. the fairy godmother lightly kissed belle's cheek and gave her a kind hug, turning to adam and bowed respectfully.
she took the crown from the king's head and turned to ben, who knelt down on the stairs. everyone in the crowd buzzing with excitement. fairy godmother placed the crown on ben's head. belle and adam bowed at their son, their pride evident on their faces.
adam then moved towards the glass case, containing the wand. cordelia felt carlos's grip tighten around her waist. mal then looked up towards the terrace, sending an unidentifiable look to her friends.
cordelia turned to look once more at carlos, jay and evie a little confused. evie nodded towards mal, causing her to refocus on the wand. "do you solemn;y swear to govern the peoples of auradon with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?" fairy godmother asked, standing before ben with the wand in her hand.
"i do solemnly swear." ben confirmed.
"then it is my honour and my joy to bless our new- " the fairy godmother spoke, placing her wand on one side of ben but before she could finish, the wand was suddenly snatched from her hands by jane who had appeared from the crowd.
"child! what are you doing?!"
