after the previous nights events and the many hours of celebration that followed, they all needed a sleep in but cordelia was too excited. she had planned something but that had to be kept a secret.
cordelia was stood in the kitchen, a mixing bowl in her arms while carlos sat on the bench opposite her. "last night was awesome!" cordelia smiled, placing the bowl and spoon down before bending down and searching through a cabinet for a muffin tray.
she popped her head back up quickly. "don't even think about it." she chuckled, looking at carlos who was approximately half a second away from dipping his pinky into the batter.
"how do you do that." he pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.
she shrugged, placing the tray onto the bench. "how would you feel if we went for a picnic this morning?" cordelia asked, pouring the batter into the muffin papers.
"i would love that, i'll go grab the blanket." he jumped, practically flying off the counter and ran towards their linen closet. cordelia smiled, laughing a little and placing the tray carefully into the oven.

cordelia had insisted on putting a blind fold on carlos. she held onto his hand, pulling him along with her being overly cautious not to pull him into anything. she smiled, finding the familiar spot. the fresh green grass and the trees swaying in the wind, the little purple and pink flowers scattered across the grass.
she took the picnic basket and blanket from his hands, throwing it down quickly and placing the basket on one of the edges. "okay, open!" cordelia exclaimed, watching anxiously as he removed the blind fold.
he slowly removed the blind fold and made the connection, it was one of their first times hanging out together, he was still new to auradon and she took him here. "cordie," he smiled, his voice trailing off.
"do you remember?!" she chuckled, taking a seat on the blanket.
he chuckled to himself, sitting down besides her. "how could i ever forget?" he reached out and held her hand. "thank you." she smiled, leaning in and placing a kiss on his soft lips.
she laid down, pulling him down with her. they laid besides each other, soaking in each others presence. over the last few days, it felt as if they barely saw one another. cordelia began to reminisce on moments they had shared together.
"do you remember when you didn't let dude have an extra treat and he took your shoe and hid it for a week?" cordelia said, stifling a giggle.
carlos turned to her giving her a glance, before grinning. "that was not funny."
"it really was." cordelia said, with a wide smile that turned to a giggle, then to a laugh. the white haired boy gave in, laughing with her. "or, or when he took your other shoe when you got mad at him for taking the first shoe!"
a few more memories later, the two were stuck in a fit of laughter. their laughter began to die down and carlos sat up, pulling her up with him. she looked at him with confusion written all over her face.
he held her hands, staring into her big bright green eyes. she stared back into his chocolatey brown ones. carlos took a deep breath. "i love you, cordelia." she smiled, in this moment her heart felt so full.
"i love you, carlos." there was a spilt moment of silence, before the two leaned in. there were purely no words to explain the feeling in the air. it was magical, it was a moment to be cherished forever.
her hands made their way around his neck, playing with the longer parts of his hair. cordelia felt his hands touch her cheek, his fingers gently tracing a line down her jawline until his hands were cupping her face.
