cordelia watched in shock as the golden bridge materialised, allowing for the limo and the teens to cross over in to the isle. the blonde couldn't help but gasp in wonder as they entered the barrier, she had never seen magic like that before.
the five teenagers exited the car, after a somewhat short but awkward car ride. they all took a second to absorb their surroundings. "ben." carlos called out, motioning for ben to help him with the tarp. "help me with the tarp." they were quick to grab the tarp and throw it over the limo, hiding auradon logo's.
cordelia stood with evie and helped the boy's adjust and straighten the tarps out. cordelia stood frozen, scanning the area. it was so different to what she thought but yet, it was exactly what she thought it would be. she wondered over towards a tunnel that appeared to have no end. "hey, what's in here?" she asked, pointing towards the end of the tunnel.
her question seemed to draw the attention of the vk's, prompting carlos to quickly run over towards her. he lowered her arm, "you don't want to know." he spoke dryly, turning away from her and walking over to the others.
"hey, guys. keep it chill, alright?' carlos said, turning back to the other teens. "last thing we need is our parents figuring out we're here." they all nodded in response, before beginning to make their way to their old home.
the girl followed her friends with wide eyes, as they took a left down an alley. cordelia did a slow spin, trying to take in all of her new surroundings. everything from the old and broken fish nets laying on the ground to the strong salty, fish smell in the air.
a loud rustling sound make cordelia jump, setting her on edge without thinking she took a right and quickly walked down another small alley way trying to hide from the unknown noise. she took a deep breath, scanning the new surroundings.
cordelia looked around, no longer being able to see her friends but happened to notice an old lady nearby. the lady looked frail and sickly, with short white hair and loose skin. cordelia decided to check if she was okay, maybe she could help her with directions in return?
she crouched down besides the old lady, smiling kindly. "hello, ma'am."
the elderly ladies eyes widened in surprise and she smiled back. "h, how did you get here? why are you here?"
cordelia smiled again, ignoring her question and handed her an apple, which the lady gratefully accepted. however, the lady soon began coughing rather aggressively almost as if she were choking.
"w, wait, ma'am please, take a breath." cordelia said, her voice rushed as she tried not to panic. the coughing escalated, every cough sounding like it was hurting the lady even more. without thinking, cordelia rushed to wrap a strand of her hair around the old ladies wrist.
the lady seemed to pause, smiling a little before continuing to cough. "flower, gleam and glow." cordelia began. "let your powers shine, make the clock reverse. bring back what once was mine."
cordelia's hair began to glow from the roots to the ends, it's healing energy that immediately stopped the lady's coughing and was began changing her skin too. her loose and wrinkled skin started to tighten and rejuvenate, making the lady appear younger.
her grey hair transformed into a natural black colour, looking more nourished and beautiful. even the cuts and bruises on the ladies skin seemed to heal at a rapid pace.
"heal what has been hurt. change the fate's design, save what has been lost. bring back what once was mine, what once was mine." cordelia finished, her hair going back to it's original state.
at first, the lady's expression showed shock but quickly turned into a malicious smirk. this made cordelia's skin develop goose bumps, as a millions thoughts rushed around in her mind. quickly, realisation hit as she found herself face to face with mother gothel.
