cordelia turned to carlos before whispering. "what is jane thinking?" carlos, jay and evie all shared one more worried expression.

"i don't know cords.." carlos muttered, leaving one of his hands around her waist and the other holding her hand, drawing circles and shapes on it to calm her down.. and to embrace his last moments with her.

"if you won't make me beautiful, i'll do it myself!" jane declared, swinging the wand around chaotically trying to gain control of it's power.

"come on guys." jay ushed, grabbing evie's wrist and guiding them down to the floor. cordelia followed behind nervously, this wasn't meant to be happening. what even was happening?!

"bibbidi bobbidi boo!"

mal leaped forward to wrestle the wand out of jane's grip. "careful, mal!" belle called out, in a soft but worried voice. after a tense battle, mal managed to get the wand from jane.

the four teens made it down onto the floor and were now standing with ben. "mal, give me the wand." ben spoke firmly, holding a hand out.

"stand back." mal warned, holding the wand out in front of her. ben just moved closer. "ben, i said stand back!"

it went silent before a high pitched. "i told you so!" could be heard.

cordelia stared at mal, with sad eyes. she couldn't believe what she was seeing. was carlos in on it too? "mal?" cordelia felt tears in her eyes as she looked up at mal with big sad eyes.

mal redirected the wand at audrey causing her to stumble back towards her group of friends in fear. cordelia's heart sank as she looked around the room, taking it all in. "mal?!" she spoke again.

"cords, i, we have to." mal spoke, hurt evident in her voice.

"we?!" cordelia gasped, turning around to carlos. the white headed boy couldn't bare to look at cordelia and the hurt on her face.

"let's go." carlos spoke sadly, looking at the ground and his feet.

"revenge time." jay chimed in, throwing an arm around carlos.

"you're, you're really going to do this?" cordelia spoke her voice trembling, everyone silent as they watched the shy girl speak. "sacrifice everything, everyone you have here?" she stole one more broken glance at carlos before spotting her mother and father.

her mother look at her with the same pain in her eyes, feeling her daughter's hurt and pain. while her father glanced at carlos, with a sad and disappointed look.

"we have no choice, ben, cordelia. our parents.." mal tried to explain but ben stepped forward and interrupted her.

"your parents made their choice. now you make yours." his voice was firm as he spoke, but it still seemed soft and kind as he spoke to the four vk's. cordelia felt the tears she was holding back fall, sliding one by one down her cheek.

mal took a second to take in his words, contemplating their meaning. "i think, i think i want to be good." she admitted.

"you are good."

"how do you know that?" mal questioned, her guard still up high and strong.

"because, because i'm listening to my heart." ben replied, his words carried a sense of hopeful anticipation.

"i want to listen to my heart, too." mal paused for a moment. "and my heart is telling me that we are not our parents." she declared.

"i mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy." mal continued, receiving a 'yeah!' from a boy in the crowd.
