Like nothing had changed, the sun still belted down on them, practice still went on, and Coach Chang still yelled at him to focus.

Sunghoon ran and turned and ducked and jumped and wanted to stop. He wanted everything to stop, even just for a moment.

It was Wednesday now, and they had a late practice to provide extra training for their away match on Friday. His mind was torn between the nerves and excitement for their first away match and the complete and utter chaos that his mind had descended into over this past week.

Sunghoon had been avoiding Sunoo.

Afterall, now that he knew Sunoo didn't have feelings for Dae, couldn't have feelings for her, there was no reason to see him. To look at him. To argue with him. To even think about him.

That last one was a little harder to stop.

Though he had been focusing during practice, keeping his eyes off of the younger, and telling Dae he didn't want to hang out with them all due to his recent confession of not liking Sunoo, it was difficult to force his mind off of the man. Apparently he had no control over his thoughts.

Perhaps it was just the confusion that made it impossible to forget him. Sunghoon had thought of many reasons as to why Sunoo wouldn't have told him he was gay, with the most prominent one being that Sunoo simply didn't like him and wanted Sunghoon to suffer. Well, mission successful.

He still couldn't move on though. He still couldn't pretend Sunoo wasn't all he thought about.

For now, he's just going to keep ignoring the younger until his mind starts to listen to him.

"Park Sunghoon!"

Eyes widening, Sunghoon focused just in time to register Coach Chang looking at him and then something hard was hitting his head. For a moment he thought Chang had actually thrown something at him, but he belatedly realised he had just zoned out for longer than he realised and had stood right in the path of the other players.

Looking up to where Jay apologised earnestly, Sunghoon shook a hand through his hair, soothing the dull pain of where the ball hit his head.

So, maybe his mind was still in control at the moment.

On Thursday Sunoo attended their usual afternoon practice that took place inside. Sunoo was thankful for that fact as he didn't want to risk seeing Sunghoon outside. Ever since their argument Sunghoon had been ignoring him, and Sunoo had decided to do the same.

Maybe this was the best outcome to their story. Simply letting it go, forgetting about each other, the good and the bad. That way Sunoo wouldn't constantly be holding on to even the times they yelled at each other, wondering if something more would grow from it. It wasn't good for him or anyone involved.

If Sunghoon was deciding this was it as well, then he wouldn't push it.

Instead, he'd focus on practice. He'd try to remember that cheer that kept slipping his mind and perfect his footwork and work on his smile. He'd do everything he could to improve this routine and assure he was making Dae proud when they went to cheer camp next week.

"Great! From the top!" Dae shouted, making sure her voice was heard by everyone. At the front she took her place and they began again, going through the entire routine to make sure it was ready to perform at tomorrow's match.

They'd all go together on the coach in the morning, ensuring they arrived for the afternoon and could take the journey home at night. He knew tomorrow would be a long day so he only hoped today would be easier.
