It was the middle of night, and I was sleeping peacefully in my nest, simply trying to relax for the night although I didn't feel Stormfly next to m-

Stormfly : "Y/N!!! COME QUICK IT'S AN EMERGENCY!!!"

Stormfly suddenly burst into our nest, nearly making me jump out of my scales in the process as I shot up in surprise and quickly started charging bolts of dragon element in my wings.

y/n / Strax : "WHAT'S HAPPENING!? IS IT HUNTERS!?"

Looking around I saw Stormfly who met my gaze with an anxious and nervous look.

Stormfly : "it's Astrid. Something is wrong with her..."

At that I stopped charging the dragon element in my wings as Stormfly led me over to a window in Astrid's hut, where Astrid herself was laying down in her bed coughing profusely.

y/n / Strax : "love what happened?"

Stormfly : "i-i don't know! I just woke up a little while ago and went to go check on Astrid because I had a bad feeling and I found her like this!"

Astrid : "s-Stormfly? Is that you girl? *Cough, cough! *"

As Astrid said that Stormfly looked through the window at her with a worried expression who in turn gave Stormfly a weak smile before another coughing fit overcame her.

y/n / Strax : "love ...did anything happen when you and Astrid went to the plague boat?"

As I asked that Stormfly turned to me with a worried expression before nodding in confirmation.

Stormfly : "yeah... she got scratched by someone who was infected... I think that's where she got this from."

y/n / Strax : "I agree... although I haven't any ideas on how to help fix this issue."

Stormfly : "maybe Hiccup, FIshlegs and the palico can figure something out. I'll go get Fishlegs and Hiccup you go get the palico."

y/n / Strax : "right."

At that we both quickly flew off to go collect the others.

*short timeskip*

After finding the palico asleep in the main area of the club house I quickly explained what had happened and set him in with Hiccup, and Fishlegs who had been discussing Astrid's condition when we had arrived. Deciding that I didn't really wish to hear the technical aspect of what they were discussing, I decided to go and look for Stormfly, who after a bit of searching was laying down in the middle of our nest with the same worried expression on her face. Walking into the nest slowly I caught Stormfly's attention as she looked over to me.

y/n / Strax : "room for another by chance?"

Stormfly : "Yeah."

As she said that she moved over a bit so that i could join her. After a moment of silence, I decided to speak up.

y/n / Strax : "how are you doing love?"

Stormfly : "... if I say I'm doing ok, would you believe me?..."

y/n / Strax : "likely not."

Stormfly : "*sigh* ... I just feel powerless... like how i felt when you fell into the avalanche and when... he died...
