Stormfly pov

Toothless : "So this... metamorphosis, what will it do?"

Palico : "I'm not sure... we'll have to wait until they wake up to see what has happened exactly."

Steve : "I hate waiting! Plus, he's right where I sleep! No way I'm going to be able to get it there without getting zapped by those balls of energy..."

Stormfly : "You could always sleep in the stables like the rest of us."

Steve : "ehh... hard pass. I'll find somewhere to settle down for the night, speaking of which the sun is almost completely set so I should get on finding a place. Night."

At that Steve fly's off in search of a sleeping spot leaving the rest of us alone.

Toothless : "I think we should get some sleep too; the night terrors will be on look out so i can ask a few of them to keep an eye on y/n."

Stormfly : "your right, let's get some rest."

At that Toothless picks up the palico and takes him back to wherever he got him and i walk to the stables. As I walk into my stable, I lay down and make myself comfortable before resting for the night.

*time skip*

About halfway through the night a sudden loud explosion shakes the entire edge waking me up as well as all the other dragons in the process.

Stormfly : "oh you have got to be kidding me..."

Hookfang : "I'M UP! Where's the danger!?"

Meatlug : 'it's too early for this..."

Barf and belch : "were with ya on that one..."

y/n pov

I was peacefully sleeping off the effects of the crimson flares when I was rudely awoken by a massive explosion! As I slowly opened my eyes to see what was happening, I shook my head to help wake me up.

y/n / Strax : "ugh... my head... Why is it that I can never get a good rest around here lately?!"

Looking around I saw that I was in the arena... or rather what was left of it. The dome that usually covered the arena had been completely destroyed as well as everything inside of the arena, there wasn't a trace of anything left aside from a fair bit of ash that had presumably been created by the explosion.

y/n / Strax : "oh by white fatalis name WHAT HAPPENED NOW!?"

I eventually got up off the ground and was met by the riders and the dragons accompanied by the vermin who all looked shocked to say the least. Hiccup, Toothless, and Stormfly were the first one's to approach me as I walked over to meet them.

y/n / Strax : "what did the twins do this time!? Or was it the hunters!? Either way I'll kill them."

Stormfly : "w-wait what!? No! it wasn't either of them. Wait, how are you even alive!? That explosion was massive! We felt it all the way from the stables!"

I gaze down at Stormfly who for some reason seems... smaller? As do the others now that I think about it... with a questioning look.

y/n / Strax : "I've survived far worse than an explosion, but what in Fatalis name caused it if not the twins or the hunters!?"
