y/n Strax pov

As we flew out to the sea I was... having trouble staying with the dragon riders at their pace. Much to my dismay, they could see something was up as well. Stormfly doubled back along with Astrid and flew next to me as my jets released copious amounts of dragon element to stay in the air at this comparatively snail's pace.

Stormfly : "hey y/n, is everything ok?"

y/n / Strax : "y-yes... everything is just... fine"

As i say that stormfly looks at me questioningly, seeming to try to think about what may be causing me to fall behind.

Stormfly : "you sure? Cause you don't LOOK ok. You look tired..."

y/n / Strax : "as i said i am fine, just a bit harder to keep this pace is all."

Stormfly : "what?! You can casually make a sonic boom and yet you have trouble keeping up with us???"

y/n / Strax : "... much to my dismay... yes."

Stormfly : "why?"

y/n / Strax : "look i don't really wish to go into it at this moment... but let's just say that it takes MUCH more energy to stay at this pace for this long then it normally would."

At my explanation Stormfly is extremely confused but she doesn't have time to dwell on it for long before we reach a ship that has deep cuts and scratches into it. The dragon riders land upon the ship and so do I, making the ship creek as I put my full weight on it, taking a moment to catch my breath I notice that the riders are discussing something amongst themselves. Not wanting to listen to them I lay down only to be met by a surprisingly sharp spike causing me to jump back up and roar in pain,rocking the ship in the process. The dragon riders almost get knocked into the water before hiccup sees what i laid on and goes and grabs it.

Hiccup : "Hey Fishlegs check this out."

Upon Hiccup's request, Fishlegs walks over to Hiccup as he shows him a silver metal spike.

Fishlegs : "fascinating! It almost looks like a deadly nadder scale. Meaning it might belong to the sharp class."

y/n / strax : "you dont say."

Hiccup : "hey you guys thinking what i'm thinking?"

Tuffnut : "OOH!!! Good game hiccup! You think of something and then we'll try to guess what it is, and if we do we get a prize. Alright think away my good man and let the game begin."

Snotlout : "hmm, let me see, i'm thinking you two are muttonheads!!!"

Tuffnut : "yes i win!!!"

Hiccup : "I was actually thinking that if we find the dragon, we find the rider, and I have a pretty good idea of how we can find the dragon."

*time skip*

After we went to go see the damage from the rogue dragon rider, the dragon riders decided to go and ask the two other humans exactly what this dragon looked like by getting an artist's rendition of it. The dragons decided to stay with their riders and rest while the humans attempted to discover where the rogue rider and dragon may be within what the humans call the great hall. Meanwhile I decided to rest outside the great hall, though to my dismay some human children had decided to come and disturb my rest by poking and prodding me, upon them doing this I hissed and got up avoiding them as best I could by climbing onto the top of the great hall. After a while of enduring the children's annoyance the rest of the dragon riders exited the great hall.

Stormfly : "what are you doing?"

y/n / Strax : "doing my best to not eradicate these annoyances."

The dragons look over to the human children in slight concern and understanding as I drop down from my resting spot and let out a small hiss to scare off the children.

toothless : "Well thank you for not killing them. We know a search route for what the rogue dragon rider's dragon eats."

y/n / Strax : "I see, what are we looking for?"

Hookfang : "Wait, you're coming with us?"

y/n / Strax : "why would i not?"

Meatlug : "well... it's just a bit odd that you're willing to help us this much. Plus its kinda odd that you came looking for us."

y/n / Strax : "as i've said before i intend to honor our deal. That is all."

After saying that I began to walk away from the great hall.

Barf and Belch : "sure~~~ or, is it just because you just missed us?"

Stopping dead in my tracks I glare at Barf and Belch as the two of them and the others chuckled away, at that I simply looked away and continued to walk away picking up the pace slightly making the dragons chuckle more as they and their riders followed.

Hookfang : "aww they like us~~"

y/n / Strax : "w-whatever, where are we going?"

Toothless : " We're going to check out the islands with sea slugs on them near where the attacks happened."

y/n / Strax : "i see... Well, I'll see you all there."

As i say that i jet off quickly towards the attacked boat creating a small shockwave as i fly away knocking back some of the riders and their dragons before they also began flying towards the islands.

y/n / Strax : imagine, ME, getting attached to these dragons and their humans............. "dammit."
