TRIGGER WARNING: Suicide

Cody stared at his reflection in the mirror.

Trent was standing next to him with his arms crossed.

Cody put some eyeliner on.

Trent raised an eyebrow.

"I'm emo now." Cody said matter-of-factly.

"When did you even buy that eyeliner?" Trent asked.

"I had a cosplay phase in middle school. Well, you know... it wasn't very good with my broke ass... but I kept this. What do you think? Emo enough?"

"I don't know... shouldn't you dye your hair black?"

"Please, do you think I have that kinda money?"

"Okay... well you don't really look emo."

"It's fine. As long as people can tell that I'm sad."

"Why do you want people to know...?"

"It's like when someone dies and you wear all black. My heart is broken so my eyes are wearing black."

"Uh-huh..." Trent pretended to understand.

Cody noticed. "You know, since they say eyes are direct windows to the heart."

"It's eyes are the windows to the soul..." Trent corrected him.

"Are you sure?" Cody asked.

"I'm pretty sure." Trent told him.

"Whatever. It doesn't matter. Let's go or we'll be late."

They both walked out and made their way to school.

They met up with Justin.

"New look?"

"Yeah. I'm emo now." Cody told him.

Trent gave Justin a shrug.

"Anyway..." Justin decided to just change the subject. "Are you planning on visiting Noah again?"

"Why would I do that?" Cody asked him.

"You're not? You don't want to fix things with him?"

"I mean. I'd like to. But you heard him..."

"He was just frustrated. He has every right to be angry with you after all." Justin reminded him.

"I know. He has every right not to forgive me either."

"But he will. As long as you explain yourself. Right now, he thinks that you hate him because of his feelings. That you find him disgusting."

"That couldn't be farther from the truth." Cody told him.

"I know that. But does he? He has no idea how you feel about him. You read about all his feelings, but he didn't get that luxury."

"You're right..." Cody finally realized it. "He thinks I'm just making fun of him for his feelings! No wonder!"

"Too bad you didn't also keep a diary." Trent pointed out.

"I don't need one. I'm going to tell him from the heart."

Justin smiled at him.

"When do you wanna go?" Trent wondered.

"Is that even a question??" Cody smiled and ran off.

Trent and Justin smiled at each other and followed him.

After Justin convinced the receptionist to let them in, they stood in front of Noah's door.
