"What's your name?" Tim asked. "I'm Lucy," she answered softly keeping her gaze fixed on the ground. Tim spoke up, "I'm Tim, and I the-" he was cut off by Lucy, "Your the alpha, yes I know." "Why aren't you with your pack?" Tim questioned her, making sense of why she is standing here. "What pack? Don't you get it, I'm all alone now. Now, thanks for your help but I'll be on my way." She towards the other door away from Tim, he signals for the other. They snuck into the room.
"Lucy wait. Why don't you stay with Wade and Luna for a few days, let your wounds heal." Tim suggested. "Thanks for the offer but I'll get going." Lucy knew that she couldn't stay, she was a burden that's why her pack left her. "I'm not offering, I'm ordering." Lucy knew she had to comply, Tim told the Grey's to take her straight home and settle her in. With that they left, leaving the others there, Tamara walked in "who's that?" "That's Lucy." Tim answers. "Wait Lucy, like Lucy from the Dark Moon pack?" The young wolf questioned and Tim just nodded. "Well I have heard some whispers about her." "What do you mean?" Nyla piped up asking the question everyone was wondering. "I heard that she was kicked out of her pack and then they left her behind, so I'm guessing that she was roaming the forest when she got attacked. And I heard other things." The young wolf stops. "What else Tam?" Angela prompts her to answer.
"I heard that she has never been on a hunt before, always being left behind while the pack leaves. To feed herself she eats what others don't, eats scraps or worst off eating what she can find but I don't think that her wolf is satisfy. She looks extremely skinny." Sometimes it was a curse that Tamara could find out information about anything, but this time Tim was grateful for her being out to find out information. "Thank you for the information Tamara." Tim praised the young wolf. The decision on what to do with Lucy was still in the air.
Lucy and the Grey's arrived at their cabin, entered into the cabin. Luna was sensing something similar about Lucy. "Do you want anything to eat" Luna asked. "I'm good, you guys can eat I'm going to lay down." With that Lucy went into the spare room and fell asleep, while the couple were getting food and eating. "Do you feel the same as I felt about Lucy?" "Yeah I did Luna, I don't know what it is but I felt that too. I know you miss her, I do to but we know that there's no way our baby girl survived anything." Wade says, a bit upset.
Zoe was doing some tests, to ensure Lucy was in good health. She discovered that she was malnourished, underweight but she was okay. But her blood pinged a result and Zoe looked into it, she was completely shocked and unsure about what she should do. She calls Tim into the centre. "What's up Zoe?" Tim had no clue what was happening. "I was doing tests on Lucy's blood for her health and her results pinged something up. And umm..." She hands the paper to Tim. "What? No, it can't be. I remember hearing about that, there's no way this is possible." "It is Tim, how are you going to tell her." Tim thought about it a bit unsure on what to do. "I'll get my most trusted wolves together, ask her if she wants to go on a hunt and then tell the Grey's and her."
The next day, Tim gathered Wesley, James, Angela, Nyla and other wolves such as Jackson, John and Bailey. Tim knocked on the cabin door and Wade answered it. "Is she up?" "Lucy was a tad restless but she is awake. Lucy, could you come here please." Lucy enters the room seeing Tim there. "What's up?" "Do you want to go on a hunt with us?" Lucy started panicking, and Tim felt a panic feeling wash over him. "Umm, I'll stay here. You can go without me." "Why don't you want to come?" Tim knew why but wanted Lucy to open up on her terms. "Idon'twanttomessanythingupforyou." She spoke fast and panicky. "Hey, slow down. What did you say?" With a deep breathe, "I don't want to mess anything up for you." "What makes you say that?" She looks at the ground "I'm a wolf that has never been on a hunt, I don't want to mess things up for your pack so I'll stay here." Tim came closer to her, reaching out to lift her chin so she would meet his gaze. "You won't, you'll be hunting with people I trust the most and they won't judge you. So come on, let's hunt."
Lucy followed Tim outside to see the others, he transformed and Lucy remembers hearing her former alpha talking about Tim. About how his leadership is different but alpha's did respect him and were scared, but without him having a mate, his luna, some alphas didn't take him serious. She heard whispers that he values his family and friends, so she was nervous when she saw the others were his friends. She has heard a lot about his beta and gammas, as they were highly respected as well, the others all transformed as well. Everyone was ready to go all Lucy had to do was transform, but her biggest secret was that she only started transforming a few months ago so it was still new to her, all due to the low nutrition she had.
Lucy was hesitant about the whole thing. "Lucy, it's okay. They will wait until you're ready, there's no rush. The pack will be there with you so no need to panic," Luna spoke softly to the younger woman. With a deep breath, Lucy transformed into her wolf. Without being banged up and covered in blood, everyone looked in awe at the wolf that was in front of them. Lucy forgot about the needle that her former alpha attached to her, luckily it wasn't silver but Lucy yelped from the pain in her paw. She was scratching at her paw, the others watched as Tim slowly approached to see what was wrong and saw how she was trying to scratch something out. Tim transformed back into his human form, crouching in front of her.
"Lucy, can I?" He pointed at her paw, she nodded and lifted her paw for him to hold. He pointed around her paw, asking her if the pain was there, when he pointed in-between her claws she gives a slight nod. She was whimpering, "shhh, you're okay. I'll be quick I promise." She looked away as he spread her claws apart finding the needle, being quick, he gently removed the needle from her paw handing it to Wade. "It's gone." He placed her paw back on the ground, she looked at him and was grateful for the help. "Who did that? Was is your alpha?" She moved her gaze away, which he had a feeling he knows the answer based on her response.
Tim transformed and turned to look at Lucy, placing his paw on hers to get her attention. With that the pack moved out running between the trees. Zoe appeared at the Grey's cabin just after the pack left. "Wade, Luna, I have something to tell you. Tim asked me to give you the heads up." Wade gestured for the girls to walk inside and they all sat down. "I don't want to make you hurt more than you have or bring any pain but we have found your daughter that we all thought you lost long ago." "Wait, what? How?" Luna in pure shock that they found her daughter. "Well I was working in the centre and ran some blood which pinged your daughters blood. How do I say this ... so umm ... your daughter is ... Lucy." Both of them were shocked. "Lucy is our daughter?" Wade asked and Zoe nodded. "Of course, once we tell her we will run a test again to confirm it," Zoe informed the couple. The couple hugged that after all the pain they found their missing daughter.
Lucy was running with the pack, she felt so free and alive. When they were at their spot, they stopped and transformed into their human form to discuss, as Lucy was new at it. As they discuss the plan, Lucy could feel the panic arise in her. "Lucy, you can go with Angela or Nyla or even me if you want. As long as you're comfortable, you can choice whoever you want to be partnered with," Tim spoke softly to her, but she didn't know who to go with. She knew that all eyes would be on her if she went with Tim but then she didn't want to disappoint the other girls if she went with them. "I don't know," she spoke softly and looking at the ground.
"Why don't I stay with you and we'll hang at the back, so you can get a feel of the hunt?" Tim suggested, hoping that would help her out. She softly nodded at Tim's suggestion, with the plan set. The others went ahead of Tim and Lucy. "Ready?" Tim looked at Lucy, "I guess." Tim came closer to Lucy. "You'll be okay, I'm going to be next to you the whole time. Trust your instincts, they'll guide you. There's no shame at any point if you need to pull back." Tim could feel the emotion of fear, panic and a hint a safety, which he still finds confusing as he wants to know who is soulmate is. Tim transformed and then Lucy transformed.
The hunt started, the pack worked together. Lucy did hesitate but as Tim said she trusted her instincts. Everyone was having a feed, but Lucy was away from the pack. She was laying facing away from the pack. Angela notice and nudged Tim, he followed her gaze to see Lucy. Tim left the feed and walk over to her, he walked around and nudged her. She looked at him confused, he indicated to the feed she stood up and he nudged her again but she moved away, backing up away from him. Lucy could nearly understand him but as she was so new to it still, Tim could she conflict in her eyes and so he tried something. He transformed into human, walking around and sitting in front of her.
