Chapter 8

Day Five:

Lucy returned to training again. "Ok, so your instincts have kicked in. So let's put you to a test. How about running around the track until you're tired. No racing just pace yourself." Lucy transformed and started to run around the track. 

She goes for 2 hours before she stops, with the lack of nutrient and increasing her nutrients again her body isn't quite fit yet. Lucy gets a drink to recover. "That was good running Lucy, you'll be an amazing wolf." "Thanks." Nyla looks at Angela, "why don't we hang out for the day?" The girls went to a quiet lake and relaxed.

"So you both have kids, how's that going?" Lucy asked the girls. "They're amazing, our kids are best friends so they hang out together." Nyla said. "So, Lucy, you have a mate?" Lucy looks away into the distance and softly says "yeah, I do." "OMG who? Can we know?" Lucy doesn't look at them. "It doesn't matter anyway, his out of my league. I'm not good enough for him so there's no point acting on anything so I'm just dreaming about what I wish I could have." "Don't say that Lucy, I'm sure that he will care about you no matter what." Angela says trying to reassure her. "It doesn't matter now, that mate is now just a dream." "Well if it doesn't matter could you tell us?" Nyla asked trying to push for an answer. "Don't tell anyone, okay?" Both girls agree. "Ok, my mate is ... Tim." "What? No way!" Angela says extremely loud.

"You have this week to decide whether you're going to stay or not. Have you decided?" Lucy nods. "I want to stay, get to be with my parents. The painful part of it is Tim being my mate." "Lucy, he can feel your emotions. They wash over him all the time. Honestly, he is getting pissed off because he wants to know who his mate is." "He is?" The girls nod. "Yeah. Okay but if you get hurt can we tell him you're his mate?" Lucy just nods.

"Lucy, you're good for Tim. Since you have arrived, he is more happier and he is more open. I haven't seen him care about anyone like he does for you." "It's true Lucy."

For the rest of the girls bonded and had some much deserve fun.

Lucy's pov:

These girls are awesome. I can see them being my best friends if they want to. I can just be myself around them and can talk to them woman to woman. I'm so grateful for meeting them and will be happy to continue training with them.

Angela and Nyla were talking, they both agree on one thing. "You know, Lucy would make a perfect luna. We have all seen her on the track and she is so caring. I just hope she does try to act on her feelings." Angela says. "Yeah, me too." Nyla agreed.
