Twenty-six

"He never touched me," I said plainly. I couldn't mention that he was in a relationship with Aki because that meant his mind would be determined to find her immediately.

"Oh really now?" He stared intently into my eyes searching for any lies. "Has anyone else?"

The question threw me off but at the same time, I should've expected it. "No"

I gulped as he tucked a wet hair strand behind my ear. His eyes seemingly grew darker.

He laughed and looked at me as if I were stupid. "You would think after all this time..." He moved his hands to my hips and gave them a squeeze.

"...That you would be able to lie better." My mouth went dry as I shook my head. "So you continue to lie?"

I stared at him like a deer in headlights. His hands went under my shirt tracing my bare skin.

Suddenly he grabbed a handful of my hair causing me to close my eyes and let out an involuntary sound.

"What's wrong wifey, can't handle a little roughness? Or was the guy that fucked you unable to please you the same way I did?" I could practically feel the jealousy lacing his words.

'This little bitch.' I thought to myself.

"What's wrong wifey? Cat got your tongue..." With his free hand, he caressed my breast.

He looked up with a sly smirk. "No bra? Didn't take it you were this naughty y/n."

I squeezed my mouth shut. He was provoking me and he knew it. "Do you really want to play this game?" He placed a kiss on my neck causing my breathing to hitch.

I pushed him away from me hopping off the counter. He leaned against the doorway staring at me with a half-smile.

"I don't see anything funny." I crossed my arms. "No no it's just I'm curious is all..." He trailed toying with a strand of my hair.

I smacked his hand and he grinned. "About what?" He placed his hands in his pocket and walked to the window.

"How long do you believe that you can keep up this act Y/n." He said. I scrunched up my face and looked at him like he was stupid.

"What act- Madara no one is acting here. You are a selfish man." I told him mustering the courage to say that to his face.

"You took us away from our normal life and all for what?" I raised my brows at him. "Just to say you won?"

"Yes I may have had a fling or two but that never affected how I protected my son."

"Seems to me like you didn't do a good job at it considering how easy it was for me alone to find you. That's why you need to officially marry me-"

"I'm not-"

"It's not a choice, Y/n." His voice darkened. My jaw clenched as I held his gaze. "You're an asshole." I said pushing past him and walking into our bedroom. His jaw clenched but he said nothing.

'He restrained himself.' I thought in amusement.

"Get ready for bed, you need to make an appearance downstairs we will have guests." He demanded.

I walked past him as he loosened his tie. I entered the living room in search of the other bedrooms. "He's asleep y/n. Don't go bothering him with your nonsense." He said grabbing my forearm and pulling me back into the room.

I scoffed at him and pulled my arm from his grasp. Something was off, I could not put my finger on it yet but I will figure it out soon enough.
