Twenty

Over time Genma and Aki have finally started getting along...well are trying to.

"Have you never cooked before?!" Aki shouted pointing the wooden spoon at him. "This wasn't in my job description!"

"...guys..." I mumbled feeling off.

"You should at least know how to make-"

"You can make it yourself!" I clutched my stomach and slowly made it to the doorway of my bedroom.

"It's for y/n!" Aki shouted back at him. I felt a warm liquid roll down my leg and a few seconds later a sharp pain.

"Well, you should- Y/n? Hey, are you alright?" Genma observed my face a panicked. "Aki!" He called out.

She quickly ran to us and her eyes widened. "The baby!" She ran to the nursery and grabbed the emergency bag and car keys.

Genma Softly lifted me in fear of hurting me even more. Tears rolled down my face as I tried to hold in my pained screams.

"Take her to the car hurry." Aki ushered us out and ran to press the elevator button which thankfully the door immediately opened.

I squeezed my arms around Genma's neck as another contraction hit. As soon as the door opened we rushed out.

Aki ran ahead of us to clear out the backseat so Genma and I could get inside.

"Fucking hell!" I screamed as another wave of pain washed through me.

"We are almost there y/n!"

Soon we arrived at the hospital, and Genma sprinted out alerting everyone. The nurses came and placed me on a stretcher wheeling me to a room.

I held Aki and Genma's hands tightly as the pain continued. "Y/n you are hurting me-"

"Are you giving birth right now?!" He quickly shook his head. "Then stop complaining!" I shouted in pain and anger. The nurses sweat dropped and Aki gulped.

The nurse began ushering everyone out of the room but before they could get to Aki I stopped them.

"No, she stays!" I shouted. They gave her a cover to place on over her clothes and soon the hard part came.

A few hours later

"Just one more push, Y/n!"

Finally, I heard the cries of my baby resonate throughout the room.

"Is he okay? Is my baby okay?" I cried. My face was covered in tears and sweat.

"Congratulations ma'am. You have a healthy baby boy!" The doctor cheered. Aki smiled in happiness and a smile covered my features as I lay down tiredly.

The sound of my son's cries made me cry all over again. A nurse softly laid him onto my chest which allowed me to observe his beautiful features.

"He's perfect y/n.."Aki and I cried.

Once the nurses got everything cleaned up, Genma was allowed in the room. He was in awe as he looked at my son's face.

"Wow, he's beautiful y/n, good job." He praised making me feel better.

"What's his name?" He asked and I looked at Aki.

"Arata L/n," I said staring into his lovely eyes. "Also Aki I hate to say this but..." Her face dropped.

"I was right." Genma and I laughed. "Are you- Y/n! That isn't fair!" She whisper-shouted.

"I'll tell you what isn't fair, look at him! He looks like his father Im pissed." Genma and Aki started laughing at my annoyed expression but I could never hate Arata. I'll make sure he never turns out to be the way his father is.

After a few minutes passed by, Arata and I were finally settling down. Genma had a few errands to run and Aki left to get me some food.

I slowly got up from the bed, I was slightly sore and my body was still adjusting. I peeked over at Arata and saw how he was still swaddled sleeping peacefully.

I went to the bathroom and washed my face.

'I can't believe I had a kid.'

This wasn't something I ever expected to happen. Not one bit, but overall I'm thankful that I have a new goal to look forward to.

Once I finished in the restroom, I made my way back to the bed slowly.

I'm going to dedicate my life on making sure Arata won't have to suffer the way I did.
