I woke up to an empty bed along with a dead silent room. I expected it but it made my blood run cold as the realization settled within me once again.

I ran some hot water and locked the bathroom door. Today is the day I will observe how everything runs around here.

I finished up and threw on some leggings and a tee shirt. I exited the bedroom and looked around taking in the scenery.

This looks as if this place was a penthouse but I know we are nowhere in the city for safety purposes.

I walked to the oven and the time read 7:34 am. Enough time for me to make Arata some breakfast.

I went to his bedroom and quietly opened only to see an empty bed. I tried to calm the panic that rose in me but my mother instincts went wild.

I walked hastily to the elevator pressing the first floor. I don't even know my way around this place, yet here we are.

After a moment the doors opened a guard turned to greet me. "Good morning Ms. Y/n." I shook my head and waved him off.

"Good morning. Where is my son?" He nodded and spoke. "Sir Madara asked us to escort you to the dining room for breakfast."

"I don't give a damn what Madara said. Where is my son?" I said sternly. He looked taken aback for a second before raising his hand motioning me to follow him.

He took me to a separate stairwell and then a hallway which opened up to a big gym. One side contained racks of weights while another had fighting mats and punching bags.

When we entered the gym, the room grew silent and everyone halted their movements. "The hell," I muttered at their statue-like figures.

I looked over and saw Arata with Obito as he was hunched over catching his breath.

"Obito, what the fuck are you doing." I spat shocking those around us with my tone. "What does it look like?" He said looking at my body from head to toe.

"Again." He said and Arata sighed getting up to punch the bag. "Is this where I told you to take her?" I heard a voice boom from behind me.

"N-no s-sir." The guard stuttered in fear with his head bowed.

The men in the gym all bowed their heads as he walked past them. His presence alone holds authority. "Y/n, why must you get interfere with things all the time. Stop interfering with Arata's training."

"He is five, Madara." I shouted at him and shook my head in disbelief. "Arata again."

"No, come on.  Have you eaten?" He shook his head no. He looked exhausted, there isnt telling how long he's been down here 'training'.

Madara stood in front of my path glaring down at me, Obito glancing not far beside him signaling everyone to resume their workouts

"Look at yourself. This is a child yet you're down here training him as if he's so sort of robot. You didn't even ask me for permission." I said to him.

"Since when did I need permission to see my son?" Madara laughed.

"Since I became the mother of him." I glared. I lead Arata out of the gym through the stairwell from before. A guard trailing not far behind us.

I heard Obito distinctly shout my name but I ignored him and smiled down at Arata.

We stepped inside the dining area and two people approached our seats. A maid and a chef.

"What can I get for you Miss?" He said in a shakey voice. Fear radiated off his body and I could tell from his slightly shaken hands.

I looked and Arata. "Pancakes!" He said enthusiastic.

Within about 10 minutes, a woman brought Arata a plate of Pancakes, eggs, and bacon. "Thank you." He said to her with a smile and I sent a grateful nod.

Arata handed me his knife and fork so I could cut them. "Are you sure I can't get you anything Ms. Y/n?"

As I was about to respond, Madara entered and took his seat at the end of the table by us. The workers in the room bowed in respect and I glanced at him.

He wore a compression shirt and a pair of black shorts. "As a matter of fact, would you please bring me a glass of your strongest coffee?" I asked and she immediately nodded and disappeared into the kitchen.

Madara looked at the tablet his assistant handed him. "Y/n. I expect you to adjust to how this run around here. Don't make this harder than it has to be." His tone held nothing but warning. I bit back a scoff and ignored him.

I handed Arata his fork back and poured the syrup on his pancakes. A smile covered his features as he dug into his food.

The table began to fill up with the rest of the acting Uchiha and a few unrecognized people as well.

"Bring me my usual." Madara ordered to them and grimaced at his lack of respect.

The maid brought my hot brewed coffee and I quickly shot her a 'thank you'. "You don't have to thank them Y/n. It's their job." Sasuke said with an eye roll.

"Still with the child like behavior I see." I said to him rolling my eyes in annoyance.

Suddenly the doors were pushed opened and a familiar man entered making my heart drop.

"It's been a while Y/n."
