McGonagall stood there, under the snow questioning students on whether they had or not the permission paper signed by their parents that allowed them to go to Hogsmeade.
Lana and Amal stood side by side as they handed the professor the papers, she gave them a quick look and motioned them to go leaving the papers with her.
Arm in arm, they decided to go by foot, the snow crunching underneath their boots, coats nearly mopping the snow and scarves that nearly choked both of them.
Everything looked white around them, Amal enjoyed the view, very different from back home, with the heat and very little cold.
She had her bag with a few galleons, certain she'd spend most either on stationery and on sweets.
Lana had planned on buying a few things for Christmas, although Amal did not celebrate it Lana refused to not buy Amal a present and insisted by saying that if she did not do such a thing she would regret it forever and think about it until the age of seventy.
Amal had said she was exaggerating and since Lana wanted to buy her something, Amal would do the same.
So Lana had proposed to go to Honeydukes first but Amal disagreed by saying that if they went there first, they'd exit the shop with no money, Lana agreed knowing she was right and decided to go to Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop first.
Amal knew they had the best quills and got excited just about how she's keep on writing notes in classes should she get a beautiful quill.
As Lana pushed the door open, the bell rang and the owner looked up from the counter "Hello, ladies. Do you need any help?" he asked with a smile.
The girls shook their heads and politely said no, the man responded by saying that if they needed help, they must ask with no hesitation.

The girls smiled and walked together around for a bit before both looked around separately, Lana looked at the notebooks side while Amal decided to go look at the quills he owned, hoping to find some new.
She picked one by one up, trying the testers onto the paper given nearby.
She had one thing in mind, the thinnest one that granted a visible but a nice cursive writing.
She held a deep red coloured quill and a black one before turning around two grab two small bottles of red and black ink.
She sighed calmly and approached Lana looking at parchments.
Amal grabbed a few before she waited Lana at the counter.
Amal placed her things on the counter and the old owner looked at them and said "These quills are one of the best, good choice, darling.
They write thinly but, it's light to the hand and whatever you write will be visible, so you won't have any issues." Amal gave him a small smile and did not pay yet, Lana finally decided and placed her things onto the counter.
Both payed and finally walked out.

"Now where to?" asked Amal.
Both stood before the shop they've just been to and thought about the next shop they'll go to.
"Not Honeydukes, let's save it for last" muttered Lana and Amal nodded.
"Shall we go try on some clothes?" suggested Lana, her lips curving.
"Gladrags Wizardwear it is".

Amal had a feeling both would step out of the shop empty handed.
They decided they'd chose some clothes, try them on and show them to one another.
Amal spat a few curses as she tried to pull the jeans she had chosen before she entered the dressing room, that to the sight seemed they'd fit, but as they did not go over her curved hip she did not try any longer as she was sure they'd fit her perfectly at the waist, if only they'd gone up.
So, she put on her own jeans and decided she'd save herself some energy by only trying the few shirts she brought in with her.
Since they all looked nice and pretty, she brought them back out with her and knocked on Lana's door.
"Are you all right in there?"
"I think I'll show you many things tonight" she said and Amal smiled.
"Have you finished?" Lana asked, fatigue filling her voice as Amal saw she had brought in many clothes in.
"Yes, I have three shirts, I'll wait for you here, be quick!"
Lana finished after ten minutes, she held two pair of jeans and two shirts, so in the end they did not step out of the shop empty handed.
They then decided to go to Dervish and Banges before getting to their last stop.
They knew they'd find all the magical equipment they'd need eventually and wandered around separately.
Amal walked up stairs where a few books were set, she vent down to grab a book decorated by a gold cover with red roses covering it, it was thick, about a thousand and five hundred pages and the title gave a reason to its thickness 'Magic all over Asia'.
She thought of purchasing it, but decided to slim through the pages hoping she'd find some images along with the descriptions.
"That seems interesting" she heard a voice say from behind her, she jumped and turned around to find Theseus head nearly rested on her shoulder looking at the book.
"Theseus! You scared me" she said nearly whispering her accent slipping just a bit, he looked as if he were about to laugh but when he saw that she was not joking around he decided against doing such a thing.
"You know I didn't mean to, Amal. Forgive me."

She gave him a look before focusing back on the book, he got closer until she could feel his body touching hers.
She took a deep breath in and spoke "Just a book" she said and closed it to show him the title.
"It does have a beautiful cover" he muttered and moved his body to face her.
"Are you here alone?" he asked.
"Lana's here too, just downstairs," Amal looked around until she spotted her friend staring at two things in her hands and she was probably deciding which on to get.
Amal found herself giggling at the sight of her friend and turned to meet Theseus' eyes again.
"She looks perplexed," he said before turning his head, Amal agreed by nodding her head.
"I know, you should've been there at Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop. She stood in front of the parchment aisle for so long I nearly started a full conversation with the owner" Amal laughed, she grew closer to Lana and she was grateful for her presence.
Theseus did not say anything so Amal asked him what he had asked her before "Are you here alone, Theseus?"
"Uh, no just here with two of my friends, grabbing a few Christmas presents," he stated and watched as Amal take a last short look at the book before setting it back down from where she took it from.
"Not interested in the book?" he asked surprised knowing she loved discovering more of her continent's magic, she shrugged "It's just a bit expensive that's all" she said and her attention was pulled away as Lana called her name and waved at her to come down.
Amal put her hand out as if to signal that she needed five minutes and motioned her to go pay while she talked with Theseus, Lana put both of her thumbs up and disappeared. "Were you searching for something specific?" Amal asked him, he shrugged and answered "I believe same reasoning as you, Jason and Luke needed a few things here so I came here with them and I found you here".

"It's destiny" Amal said with a teasing smile and was elbowed gently by Theseus.

"We were planning to go get some butterbeers, would you and Lana like to tag along?"

"I wouldn't want to bother you and I don-" her phrase was soon interrupted by him "You could never bother, Amal" his words were sincere and were spoken honestly as he did not divert his eyes from here face. She smiled and spoke "Well, I assume Lana won't mind a little break".

Amal found Lana waiting for her by the counter, since Amal had nothing to buy they walked out of the shop along with Theseus and his other friends.
Lana agreed on the idea of a nice hot butterbeer.
As soon as Amal stepped outside she saw snow falling in front of her eyes, falling delicately and lightly.
The group made its way to The Hogs Head and all sat near the counter, while Lana found herself engulfed in a conversation with Jason and Luke was approached by a girl with dirty blonde hair and red eye glasses.
"I think Jason is quite fond of your friend" Amal heard Theseus say from besides her with a slight whisper.
The both turned their heads left and glanced at them for a few seconds before their lips curled, the girl nodded, tucking a hair behind her ear and agreed "I think so too".
The waiter came and stood before the counter and gave them the butterbeers.
"Where are you going to go next?" Amal asked after taking a sip of her drink.
Theseus set his drink down before he answered "I'm not sure, I don't need anything else, while my friends here still have to purchase some quills and parchment, are you going somewhere else?"
"Honeydukes" she said.
"That was our first stop" he said and smiled.
"Well, that should've been our first stop too but you know, I was certain we would've come out of the shop with no more galleons left,".
"You too are that fond of sweets?" he said and there was a small laugh in his tone.

"Who isn't!"
