The First Spatial Quake killed over 150 million people and destroyed a portion of the Eurasian Continent. To this day, nobody knows how they occur, but rather...they're caused by someone, someone not from this world. The AST and DEM are made to comb...
Sam flies to a building and sits on the edge. He deactivates the Molten Knight armor and looks at his phone.
Vajra: "Looks like DEM intends to have me either killed or captured. Mana doesn't care about capturing, rather she wants me dead. Pfft, like that, will ever happen..."
Vajra exhales as he flies back to his home, greeted by Mukuro and Yoshino, and heads to the bathroom to shower. As he takes off his shirt, he looks at his chest, and sadness forms in his eyes and he frowns. On his chest was a large claw-shaped scar, left behind from a battle with a monstrous spirit he battled a few years ago.

Vajra sighs sadly and touches the scar. The scar was a reminder of a battle he had with a spirit he failed to save. They were too far gone, sanity and all.
Flashback, Parallel World
Destruction was everywhere, the sounds of metal clanging and explosions everywhere. This destruction is what remains of Tenguu City. Not a single human is seen in this place, dust and smoke fill the air with toxins. In the distance, we see fire, light, wind, and ice being fired everywhere. It was Sam, fighting an unknown entity and getting the living daylights beaten out of him. The entity fires energy slashes from one of their swords and it hits Sam directly in the face, causing a massive explosion.

Sam: "PLEASE LISTEN! YOU CAN STOP THIS!! REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!!"
The entity lets out a feral roar as one of its other swords glows and it fires a massive energy blast that destroys 25% of the city.
