The short battle ended with Origami reverting to how she was before the sudden inverse transformation. Many questions were stacking in Shido's mind about what was going on with her. Why was she still a spirit if he saved her parents? How can he stop Devil from emerging? So many questions...
Origami: "I-I'm sorry...did it happen again?"
Shido: "Did what happen?"
Origami: "Nothing. Apologies. Lately, I've been having these blackout moments when my mind goes blank."
Shido: "It goes blank, as in..."
Origami: " *chuckles* it's nothing to worry about. I'm probably anemic or something. Anyway, I guess you read my note? The one I left on your desk."
Shido: "Uh yeah. Are you still free on Saturday?"
Origami: "Oh sorry, I have somewhere to be!"
Origami runs off, covering her blushing cheeks.
Shido: "Sam, Kurumi, you can come out."
Sam jumps back onto the roof and Kurumi emerges from Shido's shadow.
Sam: "That confirms my theory. It seems the previous Origami remains but is not in control. The previous world's Origami remains in her Inverse state while this world's Origami remains oblivious to her situation. If we want to make sure she's sealed, this date has to go smoothly. Shido, do you think you can handle this without our guidance?"
Shido: "I'm positive."
Kurumi: "Looks like someone grew a pair~"
Sam: "Regardless, we'll keep in touch. I just so happened to have a date or multiple dates with my girlfriends on Saturday. I'll multi-task, alright?"
Shido: "Ok."
Sam flies back to the apartment and deactivates his suit.
Vajra: "Firefly."
Firefly: 'Yeah?'
Vajra: "Something doesn't feel right...is it normal to have a never-ending feeling of inner dread?"
Firefly: 'Like a pitt in your stomach? Well, usually it means your mind is thinking about something far worse than the current situation. Why?'
Vajra: "It's the Balladeer...he makes me feel uneasy."
Vajra sees all the girls doing whatever they want in the apartment, but interestingly, Tenka is on the couch, looking bored.
Vajra: "Tenka? What are you doing here?"
Tenka: "Hmph. That red-haired girl told me to stay here for the time being."
Vajra: "Ok then...anyways, girls listen up! On Saturday, Shido is going on a date with Origami. But there's a catch. We all will also be going on a date-"
Suddenly all of the girls except Yoshino get right up in his face, all of them sporting grins.
Girls: "We're listening..."
