Within the city undergoing a large battle between spirits and DEM, we see on the streets, the Balladeer wanders, looking up at the chaos in the sky, seeing the lightning, snow, explosions, and the sounds of fighting everywhere.

Balladeer: "Now this is amusing. Unfortunately, the future is set in stone. No matter what happens, or how hard you try, it will not be changed. <Rasiel>."

The Balladeer summons a book and opens it, going to a page that shows a black mass engulfing a figure inside it, behind the mass is a hand that is about to grab the figure.

Balladeer: "As much as it hurts seeing her like this, this is something I must let play out...ha, like that will ever happen. Maybe...when she's at her lowest, I'll claim the crystal for myself and make my escape-"

Before he can finish talking, the Balladeer is blown by an invisible force that sends him flying to a building, making a crater in the wall.

Balladeer: "GAH!...damn...that's gonna leave a mark...now who's the mongrel who-"

His eyes widen for a second before returning to normal when he sees the person standing a few feet from him. He smirks and gets out of the rubble.

Balladeer: "Wow, this is surprising that you came to greet me with a visit. What do I owe the pleasure?"

Reine: "You shouldn't be here."

Balladeer: "That's rich coming from you. Do you think Fraxinus is not gonna notice your disappearance? Or rather, you have the other you as a stand-in?"

Reine: "That's none of your business."

Balladeer: "Tell me, Reine Murasame...do you love your son? Vajra I mean. Or is he just part of your grand scheme for the future when Shido Itsuka and Vajra seal all of the spirits?"

Reine: "Hm..."

The Balladeer sighs and scratches the back of his head. He grabs a stick and spins it around.

Balladeer: "A man who cannot command himself will always be a slave. In short, a man chooses, a slave obeys. That is what you are, Reine Murasame. You follow the orders of some stupid woman for the sake of reviving some guy who doesn't want to be alive, instead, he is reincarnated against his will."

The Balladeer holds the stick like a golf club and hits a rock into a window, breaking it.

Balladeer: "Answer me, do you love Vajra as your son? Despite not being the one who actually birthed him? Or will you sacrifice him for the greater good and desire to return to the old days? Was it all a ruse? Was everything you spent with him by your side, just a false sense of parenthood? I await your answer..."
