Shido runs through the halls of the castle as the sounds of explosions are heard outside. The castle shakes from a fast battle. He searches every room to find the Eclipse Gate until he eventually heads down into the basement and finds the Balladeer's lab.
Shido: "Woah...is this his..."
Shido looks around, staring at hundreds of tubes that are constantly refilled with those same swarm bugs. In the middle of the room...was a larger tube with a gargantuan arm floating inside.

Shido: "What the hell...is this the source of the Swarm?"
Then he hears the lab door open and slam shut, locking.
???: "Magnificent, isn't it?

Shido balled his fists as the lab shook a bit.
Shido: "Why are you doing this?"
Balladeer: "Why you ask? It's simple—the revival of my home world. Everyone I knew is gone; I have nothing else to cling to. Who cares about this world anyway? It's already done for. My plan will succeed."
